Thank You

Happy Sunday!

It's time for this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge and today we are celebrating the day with some ladybug inspiration.

This week we are sponsored by Fresh Brewed  where you will find some really fun digital designs.

The base of my card is made with papers from the Lily Bee Double Dutch 6x6 paper pad.  I am about at the end of this collection...I have loved using this paper for a while now!

I added some bling to the teapot lid and the flowers.  I don't think one of my cards is done til it sparkles a bit!!

Make a plan to play along with us this week.  You can click right here for the link. Add your project based on our inspiration photo:

I'll see you tomorrow for some digital fun.

Big hugs,

Susie

Celebrate Your Birthday in Style

Happy Saturday!

Have you ever wondered what you could do to fancy up a dress form stamp?  I wondered too until I came across this idea - make a lovely skirt for it!!

I just fan folded two scraps of paper that I had cut with a decorative border punch.  It only took about a dozen folds to get the skirt shape right.  I stacked them and glued them over my stamped image.  Then I just glued on a seam binding bow to cover the very top.

I added some large gem brads from Eyelet Outlet so that I could have some bling on my card and it turned out to be one easy peasy birthday tag!

I hope you are having a great Saturday.  I'll be right back here tomorrow with a brand new project for you.

Big hugs!

Susie

Bubble Your Troubles Away

Happy Friday!

I hope you had a great week and are planning on some fun crafty times this weekend.

I am leaving today for Florida and am super duper excited about it.  When I come back from the MFT Stamps Workshop, I know I'll have some new creative ideas and products too!

For today - here is a card to remind you to relax the week right off of you and get ready for a great weekend!!

See ya tomorrow.

Take care.

Just a Note

Hello Thursday Friends!

EDITED TO ADD:  The winner of the graduation cards and box is K. Smith.  If you will email me at scmoore48@sbcglobal.net I will get your address and send your prize right out to you.

Here is just a quick little note card I did with an image from Lori Boyd's daughter, Hannah.  The image is called Bug & Roo Marcie and you can find it right here. Hannah is a terrific artist - just like her mom!

I am always stumped on how to color curly hair, so I need to find some tutorials so I can improve my skills - but for now this is what I've been doing.

I used the Scallop Die from MFT Stamps for the border.  Stacking the borders gives such great dimension.  Adding gems just makes me happy!!

I hope you like my little card.  I'll see you tomorrow with another fun project.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Wednesday!

I am in the middle of a love affair with Washi Tape.  And let me tell you, I am so excited that they make so many colors that go perfectly with my Eyelet Outlet brads.  This card is a great example.  My Cake Brads are just perfect with these three tapes.  For a bit of sparkle, I added some Eyelet Outlet Clear Jewel Bling too.

This card is SOOOOO simple to make.  I used a 4x5.25 white panel and added five rows of Washi Tape.  At the top I added a small piece of tape to anchor my heat embossed sentiment.  Then I added my brads and gems and I was nearly done.  All I had left to do was add the panel to a white card base.  EASY PEASY!!

I hope you like my card today.  I'll be right back here tomorrow with another project to share with you.

See you then!

January Birthday Boys

Happy Monday!

Here we go again - the start of another busy and wonderful week!

Our Pink Elephant Challenge theme this week is masculine birthday and it's an easy one for me with because I have more sons and grandsons than daughters and granddaughters!

I design my pages digitally and just love the process and results. But I still use lots and lots of paper scrapbooking supplies in my card making and home decor.

Be sure to click right here to see what all the designers have to share today.  And you can play along with this week's challenge too!

Enjoy your Monday and I hope to see you right back here tomorrow.

Hugs,

Happy Birthday

Happy Saturday!

Here is the final card I did using my Silhouette Cameo to not only cut out my card.....but sketch it too.

It's fun to use Sharpies - so many colors!!

I used Cri-Kit products on this card, but have since had some bad customer service issues with them....so I can no longer recommend them to you.

You can't see, but I am making a sad face.

But not to worry - Silhouette has awesome pens for the Cameo and I am now stocked up on all their colors.

See you tomorrow.

Big Hugs,

Susie

Get Well Soon

Happy Friday!

Can you believe it really is Friday again?  Yay!  Time for a new sketch for you to try over at Paper Craft Planet.

I like to keep things simple because sometimes that’s about all we have time to do – but simple doesn’t have to mean blah!  For my card, instead of using strips of paper for my background, I used Washi Tape.  Talk about quick and easy!

Once my background was formed, I grabbed an easy to color image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps and added just a bit of shading using one Copic marker.

I die cut and matted my circle image and added the seam binding bow….and of course, a few gems.  HAVE TO have gems!!

Now it’s your turn.  Here’s the sketch for you:

Upload your take on the sketch right here and  be sure to use keyword SK051013 so we can find your cards in the gallery!

See you tomorrow!!

Teacher Gifts - Samantha Walker Blog Hop

Hello Everyone!

Today is the day for the May Samantha Walker Blog Hop and this month our theme is teacher gifts.  As you hop along today, you will see so many great projects. Welcome to this month's hop!

I created my gift card holder using two of Samantha's great products.  First I used papers from the A-Z Mega Collection and then I used the Digital Cuts Gate Fold Artisan Card file (which is on sale TODAY at Jessica Sprague.)

I printed the striped paper onto white card stock and then used my Silhouette Cameo to finish the card, filling the inside with floral and notebook papers before cutting it out.

I added magnets so that the gift card holder could close securely and then added a stamped and colored  image from Bugaboo Stamps to the front.

Now, if this is your first stop, be sure to head over to Samantha Walker's blog to start at the beginning!  And don't forget that we have PRIZES!

Happy Anniversary

Happy Tuesday!

EASY PEASY - that's what this card is!  I die cut the focal image using my Silhouette Cameo and then backed the white glitter paper with the gingham.  I thought it gave a nice contrast to the polka dots.

Adding some baker's twine, red glittery hearts, sequins and pearls just finished off the card for me.

Easy? Yes.  Does it look fancy? YES!  That's my favorite kind of card for sure.

Be sure to come on back tomorrow.  I'll be participating in a blog hop that has some pretty sweet giveaways for my wonderful readers!

See you then.

Mom-No Other Word....

Happy Monday!

Thanks for peeking in today for my first Monday challenge with The Pink Elephant.  In the past, we have always shared our layouts on Saturday, but now we get to join in with the card gals every Monday.

I created this digital layout honoring the moms in my life who are wonderful and giving and kind.

The sentiment is, 'Mom-no other word evokes such love'.  Certainly that is how I feel about my children.  I can't image my life without them!

I am sure you are gearing up for a wonderful Mother's Day this next weekend.  I hope it will be filled with lots of love and laughter.

Be sure to click right here to see what all the designers have to share with you regarding Mother's Day.  And you can play along with this week's challenge too!

Enjoy your Monday and I hope to see you right back here tomorrow.

Love You!

Happy Friday!

This is just a few days late but I wanted to say

LOVE YOU!

to everyone who is joining me at the start of my third year of posting a new project every single day.
Without you, why would I do this?

I adore each and every one of you and just want to send each of you a personal greeting...but instead I will post this one right here.

I sketched and cut out my typewriter using my Silhouette Cameo.  Isn't that the most fun?

I stamped the greeting using stamps I got when I was on the Stampendous design team.  I just love the little typewriter font.

My papers are from the Echo Park Sweet Girl 6x6 paper pad. Don't you love how bright and cheerful they are!

Well, that's it for today.

Have a wonderful weekend!

See you tomorrow.

Happy Thursday!

I know I've told you before, but I just want to tell you again....I LOVE being on the Samantha Walker design team.

Samantha has such great digital papers and Silhouette cut files.  They just plain make me HAPPY.

And when I figured out how easy it would be to meld the two, I was ecstatic!

Click right here to see my tutorial on how to make this card.  I know you will want to start using this technique!!

Die cutting digital papers has opened a new world for me!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Wednesday!

It's not too early to get those Mother's Day cards ready to go into the mail.

Here is one I made starring Eyelet Outlet's 15mm Clear Jewel Brads. I also used their darling pink pearls. Do you like the way the brads have replaced the tulips?

My papers are from the My Mind's Eye In Bloom 6x6 paper pack and Graphic 45's 6x6 Secret Garden paper pack

I used three dies to make my card:
 Spellbinders Classic Scallop Edgeability
My Favorite Things Stamps Notebook Edge
Memory Box Dancing Tulips

It was fun combining so many dies to make one little card!

I am totally in love with the softness of this card.  It is very a very special mom in my life and it will go in the mail very soon.

See you tomorrow.

Two Years Down...But More to Come

Happy Tuesday!

Well as of today, it's been two years of posting a new project on my blog every day.

Some would say that is a big accomplishment for me...but I say:

THANK YOU.

Without you I wouldn't have stuck with it.

I love each and every one of my wonderful blog followers and readers.

BIG SMOOCHES.

And (of course) see you tomorrow!

Get Well

Happy Monday!

Have I told you that I am obsessed with Washi Tape?  Or have you just noticed lately?

It is just so darn easy to use!

On this card I used an embossing folder to get the wood grain effect and then just applied strips of Washi Tape to the bottom of the panel.

I die cut some buttons using a die from MFT Stamps and some coordinating scraps and then just heat embossed my sentiment.

So the take-away here is that you can emboss on Washi Tape.  WOO HOO!

Have a great Monday and I'll see you back here tomorrow.

To The Stars and Back

Happy Saturday!

It's time again for this week's challenge from The Pink Elephant.

This week we had a super simple sketch to follow.  But remember, a sketch is just a guideline. Let your imagination take over when using sketches.

This layout stars our littlest grandson, Andrew.  He is five months old in this picture and such a doll! His mom always tells him she loves him to the stars and back.  So do I!!

Here is the sketch for you to try:

I hope you will play along this week too and create a layout to share.  Be sure to link your creation to this week's post for your chance to win a prize. Click right here for the link.

This will be the final Saturday Pink Elephant Challenge.  Starting soon, we will be sharing these wonderful challenges on Mondays.  Stay tuned!

Please come back tomorrow for a Cupcake Inspirations Challenge.

See you then.

I'm Here for You - PaperTrey Ink Blog Hop

Happy Thursday!!

Thank you for coming by today for the PaperTrey Ink blog hop. It is one of my favorite events each month!  I would love it if you joined my blog while you are here.  I promise you will see a new creative project each day!

Our challenge this month was to take a diagonal approach to our cards.  I did that by diagonally stacking Washi Tape - leaving just a small space in between each line.

Of course the sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink.  I love the larger sentiments for a graphic card like this.

You can't beat this technique for a quick and easy card.  It probably took me less than 10 minutes to make this one.

Thanks again for stopping by.  Don't forget, you can play along too.  Just create a card using this month's inspiration and link it up right here.

I'll be back tomorrow with another fun project.

See you then.

Best Wishes

Happy Wednesday!

I don't often get to find something on the web, try it right away and then show you.  Usually my monthly posts are scheduled by deadlines I have. Only a few days each month are just projects I did just for me.

That brings me to today's card.  I follow Nichole Heady's blog daily and ALWAYS find projects I want to try.  Today, I just went ahead and did her Make It Monday Challenge which was to use Perfect Pearls.

I've used them before with less than wonderful results, but after watching Nichole's video (click here), I knew I could do it.

The little Papertrey Ink vine and flower image was stamped with Versamark Ink and then I applied the Perfect Pearls powder.  When I brushed off the excess, the image was such a pretty silver color.  I fell in love with Perfect Pearls and will be doing this more often!

The layers on my card are really just Washi Tape (my other new love).  I added blue and white pearls to finish off the card.

I am so glad I found Nichole's video.  SUPER FUN!!

I've added my card to her gallery and you can do that too.  Just click right here.

See you tomorrow!

Your Friendship

Happy Tuesday!

Here is another quick card I created for Eyelet Outlet.

I used the Butterfly Brads and the Mini Butterfly Brads as my focal point on my die cut and stamped tag (from PaperTrey Ink).  I thought the colors were just so sweet and springy.

I wish I could tell you what paper I used on this....but it was a scrap laying on my desk.  Sorry about that!  I also used a Stippled Jewel Brad at the top of my tag and I think it finished it off perfectly.

Be sure to stop back by tomorrow.  I'll have another fun project to share with you.

See you then.

Susie

Proud of You

Happy Monday!

First of all, I must admit I know nothing about sports. NOTHING!  But I do know that people who DO know about sports have been talking about basketball lately.

So here is a cute little card with four sweet basketball brads from the mini ball collection from Eyelet Outlet in a vertical row.  Isn't your eye immediately drawn to them on this card?

For my project I used papers from the Authentique Apothecary line and a cut file from the Silhouette store.  Cutting my little man from vinyl is wonderful because it is self adhesive.  This was a pretty simple card.  I even typed the sentiment.  Easy peasy!!  But it's those little basketballs that are the star of this show.

If you stop by tomorrow, I'll show you another card I did for Eyelet Outlet.  And be sure to check out their website.  They have lots of new and super fun product for you.

See you tomorrow.

Susie

PS:   The winner of the Club CR8 April E-book is Patty from Hap Scrappy.  Patty, be sure to contact me so I can get your copy to you.

Even if you didn't win, don't forget you can order the new Club CR8 April E-book here.  It's all about embossing and you will want a copy!!

Have a Magical Birthday

Happy Sunday!

It's time for this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge and today we are celebrating the day with beautiful flower inspiration.

This week we are sponsored by Pink Cat Studio  where you will find some really fun digital stamps.  Her drawing style is so whimsical and fun.  It is just a delight to look at her artwork!

I used one of her precolored images as I was a little short on time this week.  Looking at this card makes me happy - I love all the bright colors.

I hope you will play along with us this week.  You can just click right here for the link. Add your project based on our inspiration photo:

First Taste of Cereal

Happy Saturday!

It's time again for this week's challenge from The Pink Elephant.

It's 'anything goes' for our challenge today.

Anything goes makes me want to scrapbook one of our grandchildren.  Caleb had just eaten cereal for the first time and then his dad gave him the Cheerios box.  I am pretty sure that the mama was NOT home!

I hope you will play along this week too and create a layout to share.  Be sure to link your creation to this week's post for your chance to win a prize. Click right here for the link.

Happy Birthday - Part 2

Hello Friday Friends!

Here is another one of the sketch cards I created on my Silhouette Cameo.  My love affair with my Cameo continues now that I've discovered sketching.

My flowers were sketched using Mini Sharpies and the rest of the card including the stitching and the sentiment was sketched with Glitter Markers.  You can find these products at Cri-Kits.

I am just absolutely crazy over this technique!!!  I can't wait to show you more.

Susie
