You Made My Day

Happy Saturday!

I just have to say that every once in a while I like to do a very simple card.  It was super fun to line up my little potted flowers and color them in some bright and cheerful colors.

After I had my card completely done, I thought it needed a sun die cut to make my flowers grow.  That one little die cut changed the whole card.  I love when that happens!!

I am feeling really inspired now...so off I go to create a few more cards to share with you.

See you tomorrow!

Color Throwdown Challenge #343 - I Simply Love You

 Happy Friday!

Today is the day I get to share my Color Throwdown card with you. I actually love this challenge blog and play every week.  I wait excitedly to see the new challenge and always work on my project the day I see the color palette.  Here is this week's:

These strike me as fall colors - but no one is ready for fall!  So I decided to use these colors on a sweet little MFT Stamps Pure Innocence image.  Isn't she adorable??????

I can't wait to see what everyone creates for this challenge.  You still have plenty of time left and you can click right here for the link to join in the fun.

You're the Mac to My Cheese

Happy Thursday!!

Call me crazy, but I don't think expressing your love should be restricted to Valentine's Day.  I made this card for my daughter's birthday a few weeks ago.  Mac n Cheese is a big deal at her house filled with little boys....so this card was perfect for her.  She said it made her laugh out loud.

You simply must check out the Valentine Punnies digital stamp set. Even though the name says Valentine, you don't have to use it only in February.  Puns are ALWAYS fun....so think outside the box and see if this set is right for you and right for any month.

Have a great day!

LRW Challenge #290 - Bless "Chew" Feel Better Soon

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for Challenge #290 at Little Red Wagon.  It is my turn to choose this week's theme and I am going with my favorite technique - die cutting.  I call this challenge TO DIE FOR.

Almost everything on my card today has been die cut - but you just need to die cut one thing.  I am admittedly a die cutting overachiever!!!!

I can't wait to see your creative use of die cutting.  You can use a manual or electronic die cutter.    Be sure to join in the fun and share your project with us. And be sure to visit the other girlfriends' blogs to see what they have created to share with you.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.  I hope you'll play along with us this week!

See you tomorrow.  Until then, have a fantastic day!

You're Tops in My Book

Happy Tuesday!

If May brings one thing, it's graduation announcements flooding into our mailbox.  Of course we get so excited about each of them!

I made this card for a sweet young man who is the son of one of my dearest friends.  He will be graduated from high school in a few weeks and we couldn't be prouder of him.

I used stamps from Lawn Fawn to make my card.  It is simple, but I love the way it turned out.

See you tomorrow.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Monday!

Here's a Father's Day card for the fisherman dads out there.  I thought it would be fun to fill a die cut basket with lots and lots of fish using supplies from Eyelet Outlet.  First up are the Fish brads.  Then to finish off the little scene, I leaned two fishing poles against the basket.

Take a look at the cute Fishing Pole brads.  They are just so realistic!!  To complete my card I added some fun Washi tape and Enamel Dots.

I hope you like today's card.  I'll share another one I did with similar supplies really soon.

See you tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Soul Mate

Hello Sunday Friends!

Here is a card I did for my husband's birthday a few days ago.  He always gets handmade cards from me....so its a challenge to surprise him with something different.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Circle Sayings stamp set at Simon Says Stamp.  I could probably make 100 different cards using this set.  You HAVE to check it out.

The shoes and the sentiment are from two companion stamp sets designed by Julie Ebersole.  Here are links to each:  Twelve Days and Twelve Days Companion Greetings.  I really had fun using both of these sets.  On the inside, the card says, "No one could ever fill your shoes."  And that's for sure!

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

My image and sentiment are from two companion sets by Julie Ebersole.  You can find them both right here.  I can't seem to stop using these sets - I am having so much fun with them!!

I can't wait to see what everyone creates for this challenge.  You still have time left and you can click right here for the link to join in the fun.

I Hope You Know...

Happy Thursday!

I thought it would be fun to make a card and enter it into this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Here is the challenge inspiration photo:

I used a few of these really soft colors for my card and I love how it came together.  This was an easy card to assemble, but I think it is really sweet and I know my recipient will love it.

You can play along too and there is a great prize for the winner of this week's challenge - a $50 Simon Says Stamp gift voucher.  S-W-E-E-T !!

See you tomorrow with TWO fun posts!

LRW Challenge #289 - Bear Hugz

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for Challenge #289 at Little Red Wagon.  It is Carolyn's turn to choose our challenge theme and she wants us to do some dry embossing.  She is calling this week's challenge, MAKE AN IMPRESSION.

To do my embossing, I grabbed a wood grain embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot.  I like that it didn't give a super thick impression - just enough texture I think.  I colored a little bear image from the Abby's Spring Showers stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  Then I layered on this and that to finish my card.

Be sure to check out what all the LRW Girlfriends have created this week.  The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.  I hope you'll play along with us this week!

See you tomorrow.  Until then, enjoy your day!

I Dig You

Happy Tuesday!

It took me a little bit before I was able to use this set from last month's MFT Stamps new release.  But I KNEW when I pulled it out of the package I would totally enjoy using it.

I wasn't really sure what my scene was going to look like until it was actually finished.  That die cut cloud was my final addition.

I think I am in love with this set.  Oh my.  I already want to use it again!!

See you tomorrow.

A New Little Person Makes the Heart Sing

Happy Monday!

What?  A new princess in England?  Don't you think she would love this card?  What baby or new mom wouldn't?

You simply must check out the Baby Sentiments digital stamp set. I have to say this is one of my favorite digital sentiments sets.  It has five beautiful images for you to download and make into lovely cards.  And remember - you can change the color from black to any color at all.  Of course, I chose a rosy pink this time.

Enjoy your day and count your blessings...baby boys, baby girls, feline or canine!!

Thank You

Happy Saturday!

Here we are again with the foil technique.  I just love printing up images on my laser printer and then using foil on top.

The foil I used was a lovely golden color - but my camera just didn't pick up the shine.  Please trust me when I tell you it is beautiful!

Have a lovely day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Have a Sweet Birthday

Hello Friday Friends!

When I saw this stamp set from Lawn Fawn, I jumped on line and ordered it.  I HAD to have it and I am so glad I do.

Take a look at the Baked with Love set.  Don't you just love all the little kitchen icons and the cute sentiments?  I could probably stamp and color for a week using just this one set.  Did I mention that I love it???

I am going back to my stamping desk now....I have to make some more cards using this set to share with you.

See you tomorrow!

Color Throwdown #341 - I Love You Always and Forever

Happy Thursday!

Today's the day for sharing my Color Throwdown card.  This week's color palette is very subtle.  I decided to focus more on the two greens and use the other colors as tiny accents.

I used the Abby's Spring Showers stamp set and dies to make my card.  I fell in love with this set the very moment I saw it at Simon Says Stamp!  My heat embossed sentiment is from a stamp set by MFT Stamps.  It is called I Love You More.  Be sure to take a look.  It's a great one!

I can't wait to see what everyone creates for this challenge.  You still have lots of time left and you can click right here for the link to join in the fun.

LRW Challenge #288 - So She Learned to Fly

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for Challenge #288 at Little Red Wagon.  It is Tracy's turn to choose our challenge theme and she wants us to use distressing and Distress Inks.  She is calling this week's challenge, DISTRESS IT.  I am fairly certain she is just trying to kill me with this challenge.  I DO NOT like to get my hands dirty....but since I own all the inks and tools to do just that, I gave it a try.

I grabbed a tag and started blending some Distress Inks until my fingers were sufficiently dirty.  Then I sprayed three colors of metallic mist over the whole tag.  Once all of that was dry and I had scrubbed my hands, I started layering all my elements - Washi tape, a stamped bird, a gold foil die cut pair, some sequins, some gold thread and a typed sentiment cut into word strips.  One gold bling heart, distressed edges and some dyed seam binding and I called it done.

Until then, have a wonderful day!!

I'm Stuck on You

Hi Tuesday Friends!

Here's a card I made using some ADORABLE stamps from Lawn Fawn.  This set is called Stuck on You and I just love it.  It has some really cute images and sentiments (and of course matching dies).  Swoon.

This set even has a HOWDY sentiment in it.  I am thinking the next time I use it, there will be a cowboy hat stuck on one of those cactus arms.  How fun would that be?

I decided to add this to the Sparkle and Shine challenge this week.  Here is the inspiration photo.  I was hooked on the polka dots right away!

If you want to join the challenge, just click right here and play along.

Have a wonderful (and sparkly) day.  I'll see you back here tomorrow.

Happy Mother's Day

Hello Monday Friends!

Here is another card using the technique of partial die cutting that I learned from Jennifer McGuire.

I don't have many Mother's Day sentiments, so I printed this one using my computer.  I was able to match the blue in the flower centers fairly well.  I also added some yellow enamel dots to the larger flowers.

All of the bling on this card is from Eyelet Outlet.  Obviously, Eyelet Outlet has really branched out and has some great new products!  Be sure to check them out on the web when you have a chance.

See you tomorrow!

Happy Sunday!

Today's the day for sharing my Color Throwdown card.  This week's color palette is so great!  I instantly fell in love with the bright colors.

I used the Tweet on You stamp set and dies to make my card.  This stamp and die set is just plain fun to use!  MFT Stamps rocked another release....that's for sure!

I can't wait to see what everyone creates for this challenge.  You can click right here for the link to join in the fun.

Digital Saturday #25 - The Faces of Andrew

Hello Saturday!

This layout contains pictures of the sweetest little two year old ever.  When these pictures were taken, he didn't have too many words.  What a difference four months can make!  This guy can and does say just about everything.  I think because he has an older brother, he doesn't know that he is only two.  He just tries to keep up with big brother!

I'll see you tomorrow.  Have a great day!

Thinking of You....Just Because

Hello Friday Friends!

If you've ever had a bad day, you can relate to this saying!  I don't like days I'm the mouse, but I love the days I'm the cat.

You simply must check out the Whimsie Doodles Paws I Care digital stamp set.  It has some super cute images and sayings and I think you just might find you need it in your collection.

LRW Challenge #287 - Hello

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for Challenge #287 at Little Red Wagon.  It is Jan R's turn to choose our challenge theme and she wants us to use an item starting with the letter B.  She is calling this week's challenge, B'LIEVE IT.

I made my card using the Bicycle2Stamp stamp set from The Stamps of Life.  I also used the matching die.  I needed something to pop into the basket, so I fashioned a tiny tag with "hello" stamped on it.  This was a fun card to assemble from scraps laying on my table.  I love when that happens!

Be sure to check out what all the LRW Girlfriends have created this week.  The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.  I hope you'll play along with us this week!

Thank You Berry Much

Happy Tuesday!

I've been trying to use my older stamps these days. With all the new stamps that are waiting for ink, the oldies get neglected sometimes!

This is a set from earlier in the year from Clearly Besotted called Fruitilicious.  I loved it when I bought it and I still do.  My Avery Elle inks give the most perfect coverage to these solid and semi solid stamps and they are a joy to use.

I hope you like today's cheery card. I'll be back tomorrow with something new!

See you then,

Susie

Thank You

Happy Monday!

Foiling!  It is addicting, just like I told you yesterday.

I used rainbow foil on this digital image and I just love the way it shines.  I wish my photo captured just how bright and shiny the foil is.

Have you foiled yet?  If you are wondering how it is done, be sure to check out Jennifer McGuire's YouTube channel.  She has quite a few videos on the technique.

See you tomorrow!

With Sympathy

Hello Sunday Friends,

I've been playing with foil again.  I have to say, it is totally addicting!

The bird and the sentiment were printed with my laser printer and then run through my laminator with lime green foil.  The flowers were stamped, heat embossed with clear powder and then run through the laminator with gold foil.  Both techniques worked beautifully!

Have a lovely day and I'll see you right back here tomorrow.

Color Throwdown #339 - Thinking of You

Happy Friday!

Today's the day for sharing my Color Throwdown card.  This week's color palette is so much fun.  Black, white and yellow - wow - what a statement this trio makes!  Don't you just love it?

I watched a Jennifer McGuire video the other day about using die cuts to get a faux laser cut look.  I was hooked.  So I decided to give it a try.  I used the Calliope Flourish die from Simon Says Stamp to make my faux laser cut and I love the way it turned out.

I can't wait to see what everyone creates for this challenge.  And you should play along this too - there is plenty of time!  You can click right here for the link.

See you tomorrow!!

Wish Big

Hello Thursday Friends!

Today's card is a total knock off of this card fashioned by The Oh So Talented, Sharon Harnist.

When I saw her card, I immediately ordered the stamp set because I knew I had to make some cards just like hers.  I did a few less birds and candles and turned my card vertically, but other than that, I owe this card design to Sharon.  Thank you Sharon.  I just love your design!

The stamp set is called Wish Big and you may need to order it too.  It is super adorable!  The set was designed by Julie Ebersole.  If you follow her on YouTube, you know she is just the cutest thing!

So, there's my card for the day.  Have a good one and I hope all your big wishes come true.

Susie
