Color Throwdown #339 - Thinking of You

Happy Friday!

Today's the day for sharing my Color Throwdown card.  This week's color palette is so much fun.  Black, white and yellow - wow - what a statement this trio makes!  Don't you just love it?

I watched a Jennifer McGuire video the other day about using die cuts to get a faux laser cut look.  I was hooked.  So I decided to give it a try.  I used the Calliope Flourish die from Simon Says Stamp to make my faux laser cut and I love the way it turned out.

I can't wait to see what everyone creates for this challenge.  And you should play along this too - there is plenty of time!  You can click right here for the link.

See you tomorrow!!

Wish Big

Hello Thursday Friends!

Today's card is a total knock off of this card fashioned by The Oh So Talented, Sharon Harnist.

When I saw her card, I immediately ordered the stamp set because I knew I had to make some cards just like hers.  I did a few less birds and candles and turned my card vertically, but other than that, I owe this card design to Sharon.  Thank you Sharon.  I just love your design!

The stamp set is called Wish Big and you may need to order it too.  It is super adorable!  The set was designed by Julie Ebersole.  If you follow her on YouTube, you know she is just the cutest thing!

So, there's my card for the day.  Have a good one and I hope all your big wishes come true.

LRW Challenge #286 - Have a Sweet Birthday

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for Challenge #286 at Little Red Wagon.  It is Joanne's turn to choose our challenge theme and she would like us to make a project using spots, dots or blots..  She is calling this week's challenge, SEEING SPOTS.

I made my card using the Bubble Gum 4 Me stamp set from The Stamps of Life.  I colored in my gumball machine with Copic markers and then cut around the image so that I could pop it up with foam tape for a little dimension.

Be sure to check out what all the LRW Girlfriends have created this week.  The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.  I hope you'll play along with us this week!

See you tomorrow.  Until then, have a wonderful day!!

You're the Salt to my Pepper

Happy Tuesday!

Here's a fun card for you today. I know that Valentine's Day has passed...but that doesn't mean we can't still tell our loved ones how we feel.  Don't you think someone in your life would like to be reminded of how special they are to you?

I used the Whimsie Doodles Salt & Pepper image as the focal point of my card.  This is the perfect image to share your heartfelt feelings!!  I used Copic makers to color in the image and added a a small adhesive metal heart right in the middle.

Have a wonderful day!!  See you right back here tomorrow!

Thank You

Happy Monday!

Another new week and another fresh start.  I love Mondays for that very reason!

Today's card is super simple.  The balloons were actually part of a thank you note included in an Ellen Hutson order I placed a few weeks ago.  The artwork was so lovely I just had to use it on a card.  And I love that she always includes a beautiful thank you note in every order.  So sweet!

I wanted to keep things simple, so I just added some gold mist on my card background and then a few strips of Washi tape.  I really wanted those beautiful water colored balloons to stay center stage.

I hope you like today's card. Enjoy your Monday and I'll see you right back here tomorrow.

Hoping Your Day is as Wonderful as You

Hello Sunday Friends!

Today's card is a simple one, but I think it could be one of my all time favorites.

The diagonal striped paper is from a pad of gold papers by Teresa Collins.  Somehow the black accents just make the gold even more lovely.

I hope you like the simplicity of today's card.  I know I do!

See you tomorrow!

Color Throwdown #338 - Thank You

Happy Thursday!

Today's the day for sharing my Color Throwdown card.  This week's color palette is so lovely and serene. I think you will enjoy creating with it.

I've been playing with foil lately and decided to foil a digital image using both green and the turquoise foils.  It was so perfect for this challenge.  I added a bit of kraft colored splatter on my card to finish it off.

I can't wait to see what everyone creates for this challenge.  And you should play along this too - there is plenty of time!  You can click right here for the link.

You Suit Me to a Tea

Hello Wednesday Friends!

Guess what's happening today!!  That's right - it's time for a brand new challenge at Whimsie Doodles!

This month's challenge theme is inspired by this lovely color palette from Design Seeds.

http://design-seeds.com/home/entry/tangerine-hues

I used the Suit Me image for my card and created a fun little afternoon tea scenario.

See all of the Doodlelicious Diva's projects on the Whimsie Doodle blog today and you will be inspired for sure!!  Then it's YOUR turn to get creative.  Click here for all the info on submitting your beautiful creation for this month's challenge.  You have until May 13th to submit....but why not get started right away?

It's also time for Challenge #285 at Little Red Wagon.  It is Heather's turn to choose our challenge theme and she has selected TRAVELOGUE. Make a project that reminds you of another country...near or far.  I decided on this little tea scene to represent England which is somewhere I would love to visit.

Be sure to check out what all the LRW Girlfriends have created this week.  The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.  I hope you'll play along with us this week!

Happy Mother's Day - Best Mom Ever

Hello Tuesday Friends!

I've been feeling very BLINGY lately.  Have you noticed?

I thought it would be fun to make another Mother's Day card using lots of Eyelet Outlet bling.  Since so many Mother's Day cards are delivered by hand, I thought it would be ok to load one up with some dimension!

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Thinking of You

Happy Monday!

I hope your weekend was wonderful and that now you are ready for a brand new week.

My card today is actually a super fun shaker card using a Stamps of Life stamp and die set that I don't even own.  I borrowed it from my coloring buddy, Jalayne.  I love that we can share stamps and dies.  It makes things just a bit more fun AND affordable.

While I had this set in my possession (oops, I still have it!) I made three different cards.  I will share the other two very soon.

My brain really worked overtime to figure out how to make this a shaker, but I love how it turned out.  And my Pretty Pink Posh sequins were the perfect sparkly finish to my card.

Enjoy your Monday and then I'll see you right back here tomorrow.

Happy Birthday You Party Animal

Happy Sunday!

I wanted to post this card yesterday, but I wasn't able to because of another commitment.

But yesterday was my only daughter's birthday and this card just makes me laugh - as she often does.

So happy birthday, sweet, sweet daughter.  I love you more than you know.

See you tomorrow!

You're Paws-itively Fabulous!

Happy Saturday!

Here's a card for all you dog lovers.

I used one image from the Whimsie Doodles Paws I Care stamp set as the focal point of my card.  I think if I had a dog, this is surely what he would look like - absolutely adorable!!

This set has lots of cat and dog images and sentiments.  I can already imagine more cards using this sweet digi collection.

This time I thought it would be fun to place the main sentiment right on my puppy's dinner bowl.  I also added some googly eyes to make him even cuter!

Have a wonderful Saturday!! See you tomorrow.

Hope You're Feline Better Soon

Happy Friday!

I was so excited to get this stamp set the other day.  It is called Pure Innocence Feline Better and is from MFT Stamps.

I know it looks like my image is recessed behind a frame, but actually, I just applied three layers of a die cut frame around the image.  I totally love this effect.

I went through quite a few color combinations when making this card, but I finally realized that this neutral color palette worked perfectly with my gal's brown tweed dress.  I guess sometimes simple is better!

I'm off to create some more cards to share with you.  I hope you'll be back tomorrow to find out what's new here.

See you then!

Color Throwdown #337 - Butterfly Medley

Happy Thursday!

I'm sharing my Color Throwdown card for the week today.  Wait until you see this week's beautiful palette. I think you will really like these colors:

A few weeks ago I stamped these butterflies in various colors and set them aside.  So today's challenge seemed like the perfect time to pick them up and put them on a card.  I added some coordinating Washi tape and a few gems to the butterfly panel too.

I used twine to represent the kraft color and I love the way the finished card came together.

I can't wait to see what everyone did with this challenge.  And you should play along this too - there is plenty of time!  You can click right here for the link.

See you tomorrow!!

LRW Challenge #284 - Each New Day Brings Hope

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for Challenge #284 at Little Red Wagon.  It is Collette's turn to choose our challenge theme and she would like us to make a project using a floral theme.  She is calling this week's challenge, SPRING IS IN THE AIR.

I thought this wreath done is lovely spring colors would be perfect for this challenge.  This stamp set is from WPlus9 and is called Woodland Wreaths.  I think this stamp set is really meant for fall and winter, but I couldn't resist making it into a bright spring wreath instead!

Be sure to check out what all the LRW Girlfriends have created this week.  The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.  I hope you'll play along with us this week!

I Love the Way You Sparkle

Happy Tuesday!

As promised, here is another Mother's Day card featuring bling from Eyelet Outlet.

I used some of the purple 12mm Self Adhesive Jewels as well as the Oval Stick On Eggs in purple. To add to the sparkle I used some Clear Jewel Multi Size Bling and then a few purple Enamel Dots.

What sparkly mom wouldn't love this card?

See you tomorrow!

You Are My Shining Example

Happy Monday!

Today's card is very simple and graphic.  I really wanted the lovely new Eyelet Outlet bling to be center stage on this card.  These beautiful clear edged 12mm Self Adhesive Jewels come in the following colors combination packs:  pink & red, green & aqua, purple & blue, and clear. It was super hard to choose just four colors for my card!

I love that these jewels have plenty of adhesive on the back.  No need for any extra at all!

I typed my sentiment since I didn't have a stamp saying just what I needed.  I think this is the perfect solution for more unique sentiments.

I hope you like this card.  I will be back tomorrow with another Mother's Day card for you.

See you then.

So Happy to Have You in my Life

Hello Sunday Friends and Happy Easter!

It's time for April's new release at Whimsie Doodles. You have to take a look and the new images.  They are REALLY REALLY cute!

My card for the new release uses Garden Bear which you can find right here.  I loved using some pretty yellow on this card.  I don't use too much yellow....but that might have to change now!

When you are checking out the newest images, be sure to take a peek at what all the Doodlelicious Divas have created too!  Such a talented group of ladies!  If you love digis and you love to color, you will certainly be inspired when you take a look.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Happy Easter

Hello Saturday Friends!

I know it isn't Easter just yet, but I had to squeeze in one more bunny card before tomorrow.  I used the Spring Fling stamp set from Paper Smooches for my bunny and sentiment.  I wanted my happy little bunny to be  center stage, but I still wanted the card to be full of life with patterned papers and bright colors.

This card has already been placed in the mail and should be arriving soon at its new home.  I hope it will bring a smile when the envelope is opened!

I'll see you tomorrow with another fun card.

Merry Christmas - CSAYL Challenge #43

Happy Friday!

Yes, it's pretty close to Easter, so I guess it is strange to see a Christmas card here today.  But twice every month I'll be sharing one with you.  At Christmas Stampin' All Year Long we deliver a twice monthly challenge to you and if you play along, you will have plenty of cards completed when December surprises us again.

Our challenge theme this time is to make a one-layer card and we are sponsored by Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  I don't usually (as in NEVER) make one-layer cards, but I thought I'd give it a try using Photoshop.

Since I was using a digital image anyway, I just created the whole card in Photoshop and then printed it.  All that was left to do was coloring and I was DONE!

I hope you will play along with us  You can link up your creation at the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blogAND you could win seven digis of your choice from Bugaboo Stamps!

You have until midnight April 14th to link up. Have fun and I'll see you over at the blog.

Until tomorrow!

I knew I wanted to make this little bunny card for a friend of mine and when I saw this week's color palette, I knew it would be the perfect combo.  My stamp is from Inky Antics and all my sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh - another winning combination!!

I can't wait to see what everyone did with this challenge.  And you should play along this too - there is plenty of time!  You can click right here for the link.

LRW Challenge #283 - Jelly Bean Love

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for Challenge #283 at Little Red Wagon.  It was my turn to choose this week's theme and I decided to go with a pretty popular trend - animals.  I am calling this week's challenge, CALL THE VET. But don't worry - no need for a doctor, just use an animal on your project.

I made my cute little bunny card with the Jelly Belly image from Whimsie Doodles. I colored him with Copic markers and added three mats to make him really stand out. I added a few enamel dots and gems to finish my card and give it a little dimension.

Be sure to check out what all the LRW Girlfriends have created this week.  The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.  I hope you'll play along with us this week!

To One of my Favorite Peeps

Hello Tuesday Friends!

We sure are getting close to Easter now.  I have more Easter stamps than days left until the bunny arrives, so I'll have to save some of them 'til next year!

This little cutie just makes me smile.  The stamps and dies (except the Favorite Peeps sentiment) are from Spring Fling by Paper Smooches.  The adorable sentiment is from Candy Jar Companions  by MFT Stamps.

I think it is super fun to mix stamps and dies from various companies.  Do you ever do that?

Well, have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Baked with Love

Happy Monday!

It's time for this month's Color Challenge at Eyelet Outlet.  I instantly fell in love with this month's colors:

To make my tag, I brought the color palette photo into Photoshop and selected five of the six colors and made them into wide lines.  Once printed, I just cut my paper into a tag shape and created this fun little tag which would be the perfect addition to a homemade baked gift.

The little mixer brad is part of the Mixer and Cup brads set.  Isn't that green just wonderful?  There are other colors in the set too so I am sure I'll be thinking up more ideas for these cuties.

I hope you will play along with us this month on the Eyelet Outlet Blog.  It's always fun to be part of this challenge!

See you tomorrow!

Imagination

Happy Sunday!

I subscribe to lots of blogs and YouTube channels that feature card making.  It helps me stay inspired and up to date with the newest products and techniques.

A few weeks ago I noticed this video by Laurie Willison on YouTube and I knew I had to try it.  Laurie says this isn't a new technique...but I WILL tell you it is really impactful.  This is the second card I've done with this technique.  And it won't be my last.  I just love the way it looks.

I hope you enjoy the video and if you do, be sure to subscribe to Laurie's channel.

See you tomorrow!

Digital Saturday #24 and Color Throwdown #335

Hello My Saturday Friends!

Today's post will serve double duty.  First of all this layout is the newest one in my current Digital Saturday series.  I wanted to showcase a few recent photos of Caleb and Andrew.  None of the pictures relate to each other - but they are all a big part of everyday life....so that's how I decided to scrapbook them.

Because I am away from home all week, I didn't think I could play along with the Color Throwdown challenge and that made me sad....until I realized I could still use the colors - but on a digital layout instead of a card.

So here are this weeks beautiful colors:

I loved seeing what all the designers did with this challenge.  And you should play along this too - there is still plenty of time!  You can click right here for the link.

You're So Very Sweet

Happy Friday!

If you love simple and sweet, this card is for you!

One day when I had the Fruitilicious stamp set from Clearly Besotted out, I stamped and die cut all of the fruit images.  So the other day, I spotted these cherries and a small scrap of striped paper and I knew I had a winning combination!

My cards are usually much more elaborate, so when I find a simple card that I really like, I get excited! I'll probably make some more of these soon because I still have more fruit images in my little "stamp pile".  I'll be sure to show them to you when I get more done.

See you tomorrow!

Somebunny Loves You

Happy Thursday!

What a fantastic week I've had so far. I am babysitting two sweet grandsons until late Saturday. I love their energy and activity. What a change from my stay at home retirement life!!

My card today was so much fun to make. I love the bright colors and the My Favorite Things stamps and dies.

I finished my card by adding some Mini Stitched Flower brads from Eyelet Outlet.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!
