You're my Shining Star

Happy Saturday!

We just returned from a wonderful and relaxing trip to Key West, Florida.  It is one of our favorite places, but as always, it is good to be home.

So now I am back and in full Valentine's Day mode.  I am almost sure this one will go to our newest granddaughter who was born just two weeks ago today.

Everything except the banner sentiment is from MFT Stamps.  The sentiment on the banner is from Lawn Fawn.  I've been having great fun with stamps from both companies and I would encourage you to check out both.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Thank You

Happy Friday!

Here is the third card using the same stamped background as the other two which you can see here and here.

This time I didn't color any of the images, but used a bright green color for the base.  I think it is a modern and clean look.

I hope you've been inspired by the three cards made with identical stamped backgrounds.  I plan to try it again soon and share with you.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

You Octopy my Heart

Happy Thursday!

I couldn't resist making a shaker card using the new Lawn Fawn Octopi My Heart stamp set.  It is a tiny little set, so it has a great price point and it is ADORABLE!

I think this will be perfect for one of my grandsons.  You don't find a blue valentine all that often!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Inspired by all the Little Things #39 - We Love You

Hello Wednesday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.  The inspiration for my card can be found right here:

My valentine is a mix of Reverse Confetti, My Favorite Things and Lawn Fawn.  I love mixing products from my favorite companies!

You should play along with the challenge too. You have plenty of time.  This week's cards are really great so be sure to take a look.

See you tomorrow.

Thank You

Hello Tuesday Friends!

I am still working on my thank you cards.  Even though this probably should be a Valentine's Day card, I decided that banner would be perfect for a different greeting too.

The heart and banner are all cut from one die.  Once it is cut out, it becomes a jigsaw puzzle to put back together.  I decided I wanted some contrast, so I also cut it using the red dotted paper.  I colored the banner with Copic markers and then set about putting everything back together.

So be sure to look at your stamps and dies with a fresh eye.  You might be surprised how many different looks you can get with just a bit of imagination.

Have a fun filled day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Happy Monday!

It's a TRANSPORTATION SITUATION this week at Stamp TV!  Nobody likes a traffic jam, so get out your stamps - cars, trucks, horses, buggies, rocket ships - and make a card with some sort of transportation in mind.

I used a newish stamp set from Claire Brennan to stamp my image and sentiment. Be sure to check out Half Pint Heroes because it is a great set with plenty of wonderful images and sentiments.

Have your project uploaded to our gallery with the tag STV17MON3 no later than January 22, 2017 at 8 PM, CST for your chance to win a fantastically wonderful $20.00 gift certificate to the Gina K. Designs store!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Happy Birthday

Happy Sunday!

I have a card to share over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog today.  The theme this week is winter birthday.

Just so happens we have one coming up and every year on his birthday we make s'mores!  I am still loving the penguins and since this one is roasting marshmallows, he totally fit the bill for my card.

You can find this adorable set from Reverse Confetti right here.  I filled my shaker with plenty of seed beads and sequins.  I wanted the fire to be super hot!

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Color Throwdown Challenge #425 - Happy Mail

Happy Saturday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.  Look at the fun colors in this week's inspiration photo:

My focal point image is stamped using Lawn Fawn's new set called Love Letters.  I grouped my stamps together and then used my Silhouette Cameo to cut them out.  It is such a fun and easy way to make a cohesive grouping.

There is still some time to play along if you want to join in the fun.  You can click right here for the link to participate. And be sure to check out what all the designers have made to inspire us!

See you tomorrow!

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Thank You

Happy Friday!

I saw this technique over at Live Love Cards and I just had to try it.  I stamped a background stamp onto grey paper and white heat embossed it.  Then I selected just a few of the flowers and colored them in with a black marker.  I also added some shine with a Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen.

This is such an easy technique and I can't wait to try it again.

Over at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, this week's theme is Be Square.  This will be the second card I've posted over there.  Square is fun!

See you tomorrow.

Inspired by all the Little Things #38 - Love You

Hello Thursday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.  The inspiration for my small gift card can be found right here:

I used stamps and dies from both MFT Stamps and Reverse Confetti to make my card.  This also fits at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge (which is to make a square card) so I am posting it there too.

You should play along with the challenge too. You have plenty of time.  The designers for this challenge have made some lovely cards for us.  Be sure to check them out.

See you tomorrow.

Thanks

Happy Wednesday!

Here is card #2 from the three identical backgrounds I stamped.  You can see the first one right here.  For this one I just did some loose watercolor type strokes on each image.  No real shading.

I like the soft look of the flowers against the other half which is so dark.  I did add a strip of Washi tape between just so it wouldn't be too harsh of a contrast.

I'll show you the third card in a few days.

Until then, have a wonderful day and I'll be back tomorrow.

You're Cool

Happy Tuesday!

I am totally smitten with all of the adorable penguins that I am seeing lately (in stamp sets that is).  I am trying not to buy any more, but I couldn't resist this set by Reverse Confetti called S'more Love:

I have already colored the other penguin and am getting ready to have him roast some  marshmallows.  So stay tuned for that!

See you tomorrow (with a non-penguin card).

Once Upon a Time....

Hello My Monday Friends!

I hope today is the start of a terrific week for you!

My card today uses products from Gina K. Designs.  Here is a look at the whole stamp set I used.  It was designed by the very talented Claire Brennan and is called Half Pint Heroines.

There are so many possibilities with this set.  And there is also a companion set called Half Pint Heroes.  Be sure to take a look at both!

See you tomorrow.

Thank You

Happy Sunday!

I don't know about you, but I have some thank you cards to send out, so I am trying to quickly get some made and mailed.

For this card I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Winter Flowers randomly onto my card front panel.  I actually did it for three different cards because making multiples is so easy using the MISTI.  I don't know if all of them will be thank you cards, but I do know they will all be different.

I used a rectangle die to cut an opening in the stamped card front panel.  That is the portion I colored. When I finished coloring, I backed it with white fun foam and set it right back into the large panel.  I wish the photo showed better that it is elevated.

I added my sentiment and adhered the finished front panel to a 4.25x 5.5" folded card.  I added some sequins and I must say I love it!

I'll be showing you my other two cards very soon.  Same background - but not the same card design.  FUN FUN FUN!

See you tomorrow!

You're the Coolest

Hello Saturday Friends!

Have you seen this super cute Penguins die from

I have to say, it makes the cutest little characters.  You just run the single thin die through once on white paper and once on black paper.  Then it's all about coloring in a few details and then piecing everything back together.  It really is fun!  I may be making more soon!

I left the inside blank since this could be used for plenty of occasions.  My guess is eventually it will be a birthday card.  I'll ink up a happy birthday stamp then!

I am entering this at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and also the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge today because the current challenge is NEW - and this is a brand new out of the package die for me!

See you tomorrow!!

You are a Blessing in my Life

Hello Friday Friends!

I hope you are doing well today.  I wanted to make a cheerful card to share with you just in case you have the winter blues.

My flower is from the Some Like it Hot stamp set by PaperTrey Ink.  It is a layering stamp set.  It's tricky, but once you get the hang of it, it gets easier.

My little die cut window is from the Stitched Arch STAX by My Favorite Things.  I plan to make some shaker cards using this set soon.

Enjoy your day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

A Gift for Illy

Happy Tuesday!

Very soon I'll be traveling to Austin for the birth of our 12th grandbaby.  I have a present for her all wrapped up now and ready to go.

I used a 12x12 piece of scrapbook paper for the wrapping because I wanted everything to coordinate perfectly.  I just kept adding layers of flowers to the tag until I thought it was full enough.  But the tag needed more, so I whipped up two small pom poms to match.  Making pom poms is quite addicting!  Start at your own risk.

I had this black crochet ribbon in my stash and I thought it would tie everything together nicely.  I love how it turned out.  But I am pretty much over the moon about a sweet baby who might be born this very week!

Catch you tomorrow!  Maybe I'll have more news....

You're Fintastic

Hello Monday Friends!

During the holidays I have purposefully spent more time with family.  Only late at night would I venture into my studio and do a little creating.  I found myself coloring a little of this and that and then setting them aside to use on cards later.  Well, later has arrived.

My fish are from Lawn Fawn and I love them in all their bright colors.  I can honestly tell you I don't know the manufacturer of any of my other products.  I used three different dies here and have no clue who makes them.  Shame on me...but I'm keeping it real.

So go forth this week knowing that INDEED, you are fintastic!

See you tomorrow.

Superman and Harry Potter?

Happy Thursday!

I'm continuing with some of my favorite 2016 page layouts. Superman and Harry Potter showed up at my house on the last day of October.  I offered them some candy, and off they went!

I'm pretty lucky to have two little guys like this come to see me!

I'll see YOU tomorrow.

You and Me

Hello Tuesday Friends!

From now until the end of 2016 I will be sharing some of my favorite digital layouts while I gear up for lots of card making in 2017.

These two old souls stayed outside in these chairs for at least an hour solving the world's problems.  I love that the older one is imparting wisdom to the younger.  At least I hope that was happening!

See you again tomorrow.

Hello Monday Friends!

We all survived Christmas.  So now it's time for us to start saying how we will plan better next year, buy presents earlier and make cards sooner.  Am I right?  Or is that just me?????

Anyway, here is a lovely little embossed card to let you know I'm thinking of you and hoping you had a wonderful holiday.

All products are from Gina K. Designs.  Be sure to visit soon.

May All Your Days Be Merry & Bright

Happy Friday!

At almost the last moment, I discovered this stamp from Neat & Tangled.  It is a stand alone one, so the price point was tempting.

I was unable to capture the light well on this one.  Those strips of "black" paper are really gold metallic paper.  So the shine of this card is amazing...but I gave up trying to show it to you.  (insert sad face here).

This card is off in the mail, heading north to a sweet friend.  I hope he likes it!

See you tomorrow.

Inspired by All the Little Things #37 - Merry Christmas!

Hello Thursday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.  The inspiration for my card can be found right here:

I used stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn to make my card.  I liked the idea of all the little houses lined up on the hill with the trees out in front.

You should play along with the challenge too. You have plenty of time.  The designers for this challenge have made some lovely cards for us.  Be sure to check them out.

See you tomorrow.
