Essentials by Ellen March Pin-Sights Challenge - We're in This Together

Happy Sunday!

I am entering my very first Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge today.  Each month a collage of Pinterest pins is offered as inspiration.  Here is the current one:

I love all that green, so of course my card is mostly green.  I used one of the newest sets called Spa Day to create my card.  I had the most fun coloring up this little cutie!  Just so you can see all the great images in the set, here's a look:

I can see many more cards being created with this stamp set for sure!

So have a terrific and relaxing Sunday!

See you tomorrow.

You are Such a Wonderful Person

Hello Saturday Friends!

I had so much fun creating the challenge for Mix it up Monday at Gina K. Designs this past week.  The theme is Flowers and Dots.  I love these flower stamps and dies so much, I decided to make another card for the challenge!

I used stamps and dies from the newest StampTV Kit, Bold and Blooming.  My sentiment is from the All About You stamp set.  You can find both in the Gina K. Designs store.

If you want to play along this week, check out Challenges in the StampTV Forum. But you need to hurry because the challenge closes tomorrow night!

See you tomorrow!  Have a fantastic Saturday!

Inspired by all the Little Things #48 - Thinking of Ewe

Hello Thursday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.  This is the current inspiration photo complete with a beautiful night sky:

I made my sky by ink blending two Gina K. Designs ink colors - In the Navy and Edible Eggplant.  Then I popped the circle into the negative circle space in my white panel.  I added some little white dots for stars and also some clear sequins.  I hand cut a yellow moon to complete my sky.

My sweet little lamb is from Reverse Confetti and the sentiment is as well.  The All About Ewe stamp set is part of the newest RC release.  I can't wait to use it again with some more of the elements.

Be sure to check out all the beautiful inspiration for this week.  The designers are all so very talented and you will not be disappointed!

See you again tomorrow!

Susie

PS:  I am also sending this over to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  They want us to use more than one die or punch.  Done!!   And the theme at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is to layer it up.  So I guess I'll send this one over there too!

Hello Tuesday Friends!

Here is my tag for this the current Tag You're It challenge. You can see the graphic below:

I hand cut my tag because I just didn't have any tag dies the exact size I needed.  I layered on a topper as I really wanted to emphasize the green in the paper.  My little vine is a die from Gina K. Designs and the cute kitty is a stamp from MFT Stamps.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Bluebonnet Seeds - Hello

Hello Sunday Friends!

We were out and about yesterday and I saw my first 2017 Texas Bluebonnets.  I just had to create a card to give our state flower a big shout out!

On my last trip home from Austin, I stopped at Stamp Salado to take a look around.  They have so many rubber stamps!  I especially enjoyed the Texas stamps section.  There were beautiful samples of all their stamps and I couldn't resist at least one purchase.  I don't buy too many red rubber stamps that are mounted on wood, but this one from Deadbeat Designs caught my eye and fell right into my shopping basket.

So here's to Texas and here's to spring.  I am ready!

See you again tomorrow.

Hello Friend

Happy Saturday!

Sometimes I wonder how I get from A to B!!

I decided to enter a card in the Altenew March Inspiration Challenge.  I used all Altenew products and had this entire card completed when I realized it was a color challenge.  Not one single color in the inspiration photo is in my project.

Total challenge fail...but still a pretty card I think!  So I'll try again with all the right colors next week.

See you tomorrow!

Inspired by All the Little Things #47 - Birthday Wishes

Hello Thursday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.  This is the current inspiration photo filled with such fun colors!

I went with rainbow colors to make my little birthday card.  The stamp set I used was a freebie from Simon Says Stamp.  I don't think they even sell it anymore.  It's not one I would have purchased, but now I'm glad I have it.  I think I am going to color that unicorn in gold and silver next time!

Be sure to check out all the beautiful inspiration for this week.  The designers are all so very talented and they work so hard to show us fantastic creations.

See you tomorrow.

Gina K. Designs – StampTV Kit Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 2

Happy Tuesday!

The Cast and Crew for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to day two of the blog hop celebrating the newest StampTV kit.  Just like yesterday, the team has come up with fun designs to share with you.

Once again, I want you to see the new kit. Can you believe you get dies in this set too?

Now on to our featured set for today. It is called Happy Spring. I love all the images
in this set - perfect for cute little scenes.  Here is a close-up:

We will be sharing some cards made with our newest incentive stamp as well.
Take a look at Through Thick and Thin (free with $75 purchase):

Now on to the cards.  I love the Happy Spring set for scene building.  Pairing with
our new patterned paper just finished the first two cards so nicely.

The Through Thick and Thin incentive set is absolutely gorgeous!  My first
card uses the flower, leaf and one sentiment from the set.  I added just
a smidge of the black and white patterned paper too.  My second card
also sports one of the sentiments in this set.  I couldn't resist using
it along with one of the  Bold and Blooming images.

I hope you will enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20.00 Gina K. Designs gift certificate.  To find out who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

Gina K. Designs – StampTV Kit Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 1

Hello Monday Friends!

The Cast and Crew for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous blog hop celebrating the newest StampTV kit. We hope you will be inspired by the beautiful card projects as you hop along to each designer’s blog.

This month, please welcome Carolyn King as a special guest designer to our blog hop.  You may remember that Carolyn has been a member of our team in the past, so we are all very excited that she is joining us in March to showcase her talents once again.  Also, please welcome our new team member, Rema DeLeeuw who has a fun and clean style and loves to work in watercolors and ink blending. You will instantly fall in love with her projects!

First I want you to see the new kit. I think you will love it!  Actually, what's not to love?
You will get stamps, dies, patterned paper and card stock.  Woohoo!

Now on to our featured set for today. It is called Bold and Blooming. This set is so versatile and is perfect for spring!  You will be able to create amazing card projects using this beautiful stamp set.  Here is a close-up:

I made three cards to show you today. And I have quite a few more to share with you in the next few days too, so stay tuned.

For my first card, I used four Copic colors, but no shading. I wanted you to see how
quick and easy it is to create a beautiful card using just a few colors.

Next I went crazy with lots of colors, but still no shading. I wanted this card to
be quite modern as opposed to the first which seems more demure.

For my third card I used some springtime colors and added shading
to all my flowers and leaves. It took a bit longer, but it was worth it. I
also added some patterned paper from the kit and a bow to finish off the design.

If I could ever wear out a stamp set, I think this would be the one. I absolutely love everything about it, so I'll be back with more from this set soon.

I hope you will enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20.00 Gina K. Designs gift certificate.  To find out who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

Ready for more awesome creations?  Just click on the links below for more from Gina and the Cast and Crew:

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hello Sunday Friends!

I need to get my St. Patrick's Day cards into the mail and here is the first one I made.  The images are from Verve Stamps.  This is a free download which is so very generous of them.

I used the shamrock image to make my background and then printed the mat for my coffee cups.  I added in some black and white paper and Washi tape before I finished it up with my coffee cup die cuts.  Even though I only made one of these, it would be easy to mass produce this design.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow for day one of the newest Gina K. Designs Blog Hop.

I am going to send this over to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog since the theme this week is For a Special Lady or Girl.

Honoring Susan - I'll Never Forget You

Hello Friday Friends!

I believe this is the first time in seven years I have posted an actual card on March 10th.

You see, seven years ago today my best friend passed away.  She was in her early 40's.  She wasn't suppose to leave us like that.  She didn't hear me say goodbye.  I don't believe I have ever gone through that much pain before - pain that lasted for years without relief.

So for all those years, I have either posted a picture of her, or I written a tribute to her....or poured out my feelings through tears.

I miss her just as much...but I am going to honor her today with a card in her favorite color.  Susan loved purple so much.  It may have been the only color she really believed existed.  So here's to you, my purple loving friend.  I know you are dancing in heaven (and you are wearing purple).  I'll be there as quick as I can and we will laugh together again.

Susan, I love and miss you and I always will.

Spring Blessings

Happy Thursday!

Are you ready for spring?  I know I am.  And if I saw any of these colorful characters in my backyard, I'd be overjoyed!

These images are so easy to make.  They are part of the Spring Fling stamp set from Gina K. Designs.  You can stamp the line art images and then ink up the solid image with any color you want. Then just stamp right over the line art image.  So clever!  I love this set!!

Have a wonderful Thursday and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Love You

Happy Tuesday!

I was watching process videos on YouTube last week and came upon the most terrific video by Lydia Evans.  You can watch the video right here.  You will love listening to her British accent while you enjoy her creativity.

In the video, she shares her technique for stamping on die cut letters.  I just had to try it.  Mine look different from hers, but that's what art is all about.

You will also fall in love with Lydia's blog.  The crafty eye candy is just so lovely!

Enjoy your Tuesday and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Inspired by All the Little Things #46 - Congratulations

Hello Monday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.  This is the current inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the table with the plant on it when I saw the photo, so I stamped out a dresser with a plant on it.  The best part of this dresser is the separate stamped drawer that is popped up with foam tape.  It is super sweet!!

Be sure to check out all the beautiful inspiration for this week.  The designers are all so very talented and you will be amazed at their projects.

See you tomorrow.

I made this tag for this the current Tag You're It challenge.  I love that colors are just so vibrant and fun!

Here is the graphic for this challenge:

I used the Beautiful You stamp set from Altenew.  I haven't had this set for very long, but I've already made numerous cards with it.  I love the fine lines of each stamp.  I'll be showing you more cards using this set very soon.

I am also going to send this over to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog since the theme this week is Tag You're It.
