Happy Easter

Happy Sunday!

It's time for this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge and today we have an inspiration challenge for you. We are all about bunnies today!!  Here is a close up of my project:

We are sponsored this week by May Arts.  There is no doubt in my mind that you have seen AND used ribbons and trims from May Arts.  They have some of the most beautiful and amazing products I've seen.  Making this banner adorned with some of their trims just made my heart sing.  And I have totally loved having it on my mantel.

What will you come up to share with us this week?  Be sure to make a plan to play along with us.  You can click here for the link.

You're a Life Saver

Happy Thursday!

Two months ago My Favorite Things had one of my absolute favorite releases.  But I was late in the game ordering my products, so I am just now getting to play with them.

I am so loving the nautical stamp sets and dies.  This life preserver is a two piece die so that the little red pieces can be added to the white ring.  Brilliant!  The large sentiment is from one of the MFT stamp sets.  The smaller one is from PaperTrey Ink.  I like mixing stamp sets - both old and new!

I can't wait to use these MFT stamps and dies some more.  You will be seeing plenty more cards using them!

See you tomorrow.

Get Well Soon

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you are ALL doing well and none of you need a get well card!

But I saw this PaperTrey Ink stamp and die set a few months ago and fell in love with it.  I finally ordered it and got right to work on a card.

I just love stamps and dies that coordinate!  To finish my card I added some Washi tape, a die cut Stickled heart and some sequins.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow.

A Very Happy Birthday to You

Hello Tuesday Friends!

I was looking through my stamps the other day for the perfect sentiment for a card I was making, and on my journey, I spotted this older PaperTrey Ink set and pulled it out to use on another card.

I heat embossed both the frame and sentiment to give it a raised effect.  I love using colored pigment ink and then embossing it using clear powder.  That way I don't have to have every color of embossing powder.

To finish my card, I added Washi tape, enamel dots, gems and sequins.  I love the way it turned out.  Very simple - but really impactful.

I hope your week is starting off well.  I'll see you right back here tomorrow with another new project.

Hugs,

Susie

Easy Gift Notes

Happy Monday!

I just wanted to show you a few of the little cards I made for a friend.  She fell in love with one of my cards that featured this little doggie and asked me to make her a set of cards.

This is just three of the six I made for her.  I know she likes to send small cards, so I made them in a smaller size for her.  But they can still go through the mail.

The stamped image is from is from My Favorite Things and he just looks so cute no matter what outfit he wears!

I hope you have a wonderful Monday and I'll see you tomorrow.

Just What the Doctor Ordered

Happy Sunday!

It's time for this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge and today we have a color challenge for you. We are using poppy, white and chartreuse.  What fun colors!

We are sponsored this week by Bugaboo Digi Stamps. I was a guest designer for Bugaboo a few years ago, so they are always close to my heart.  And they have the greatest images!  Be sure to check them out.

I think this is one of my favorite images.  And it colored up really quickly.  I hope you like it too.

I am the Resurrection

Happy Saturday!

I am so happy that I can participate again this week in two of my favorite challenges.

The first is Word Art Wednesday and the second is The Color Throwdown.  Just like last week, I was able to combine these two challenges. And last week, my card was selected as a winner at Word Art Wednesday and I received a lovely prize!

For my background I used a set from PaperTrey Ink.  I just love these swirls!  Then I added my sentiment and some bling to finish it up.

Be sure to check out these great challenge blogs.  And there is plenty of time to play along...so give it a try!

Celebrate - Happy Birthday

Hello Friday Friends!

Thirty-one years ago today I gave birth to my only daughter.  How could I have ever known the blessings that day would bring?

She has been a delight to me and I can only thank God for the woman she has become.  She is an amazing and Godly woman. Her skills as a mom to two little boys truly astounds me.  Could I be any more proud of this wonderful girl?  I don't think so.

How blessed I am!

Happy Birthday

Hello Tuesday Friends!

I needed a quick birthday card and I had this "five" already cut out from some bright Washi tape...so I dug through my scraps until I had enough product to make the card.

I used an embossing folder I got on sale at Joann's a few weeks ago.  They had their brand on sale for 5 for $10, so I gathered up a handful.  I don't use embossing folders much...but I do like the texture they give.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Hello

Happy Monday!

I hope your week will be a wonderful one.

I am still playing with inlaid die cuts.  It is such a fun technique!

The only time consuming part is figuring out where you want everything to end up on the card front.  Once that is decided, the rest is easy.  Just make the same cuts with coordinating papers and then put the puzzle back together!

I hope you will give this technique a try.  It really is fun!

See you tomorrow.

Smile

Happy Sunday!

It's time for this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge and today we have a technique challenge for you. We are all about monochromatic coloring.

We are sponsored this week by Dilly Bean Stamps. They have some super cute digital stamps and once you see them, you will want them all!

I struggled with the monochromatic theme...but in the end I really liked the way the image turned out.  I think it's good to stretch now and then. I am going to try it again just so I can feel more comfortable with this type of coloring.

What will you come up to share with us this week?  Be sure to make a plan to play along with us.  You can click here for the link.

Wishing You a Very Happy Spring

Happy Saturday!

Oh my goodness.  I can't tell you how much I truly love this set from My Favorite Things.  It is called Spring Has Sprung.

I just adore how you stamp the images in black and then use a solid stamp with springy colors behind each image.

It sort of reminds me of water coloring - but without the mess.

I added some sequins for just a bit of shine.  I can't wait to use this set again.....you will be seeing a tag I am making with this set soon enough.

See you tomorrow!

The Righteousness of God

Happy Friday!

Just another quick post to share a card I did for two of my favorite challenges.

The first is Word Art Wednesday and the second is The Color Throwdown.  Just like last week, I was able to combine these two challenges.

I was on my way out of town when I decided to make this card.  My studio was all cleaned up...so I decided to go digital.  I created the entire card front and then printed it onto some textured card stock. Then it took just a minute to mount it on my card base and add a few enamel dots and gems.  I love when a plan comes together quickly!

Be sure to check out these great challenge blogs.  And there is plenty of time to play along...so give it a try!

Happy Spring

Hello Thursday Friends!

I don't want to jinx it, but I actually think spring is finally here in Texas.  We sat out on our front porch last night and it was glorious!

Have you seen the new Die-Namics Wildflower Centerpieces die from My Favorite things?  I just love the way the little flowers are not adhered to the card, so it gives it some movement.

I paired the die with one of their new stamp sets called, Spring Has Sprung.  I have used this set quite a bit already...and I'm not done yet!

I'll see you tomorrow with another fun project.

Hello You

Happy Wednesday!

Have you noticed the clever trend of inlaid die cuts?  It is so much fun to do!

All you do is die cut your words and embellishments out of your base card stock and then again out of coordinating papers.  Then place the die cut coordinating papers into the holes on your base piece.

SUPER EASY and FUN!

Give this a try.  I KNOW you will like it.

See you tomorrow.

Fun Fun !!

Happy Saturday!

I thought I'd show you one of my digital layouts.

I am working on a book of our January Disney trip.  You'd think I could just dedicate an hour or two a day and get the book done, but it just never seems to work that way.

However I am on a retreat this weekend, so I am trying to get some of my pages done.  If I get at least 3 more spreads done, I'll be finished with our first day.  It may be a while before I get done.  Oh well, back to work!

See you tomorrow.

Hello Sunshine!

Happy Friday!

Does this little girl just make you smile?  I knew I had to have this stamp and die set when I first saw it during the last release from My Favorite Things.

I wanted to make a super simple card so that I could showcase this little sweetie.

I hope you like this one.  I just SO love it.  I can't wait to use the stamp (and die) again!

See you tomorrow!

Wishing You Well

Happy Tuesday!

Thank you for coming by today for the PaperTrey Ink blog hop.  I would love it if you joined my blog while you are here.  I promise you will see a new creative project each day!

This month's PTI challenge was to use something shiny.  What's shinier than gold glittery embossing powder?

My card is simple, but I think elegant. I love the linear design, and of course that shiny sentiment!

Don't forget, you can play along too.  Just create your project and link it up right here.

Thanks again for stopping by.

I'll be back tomorrow with another project to share with you.

See you then.
