Everything is S'More Fun with You

Happy Sunday!

Who doesn't like s'mores?  Even if you don't want to eat them, gathering around with people you love making them is awesome!

I found these little guys on Etsy at Just Me Digital Stamps.  In the stamp set, each character is separate plus there are files of them together in a few poses too.  Of course there are cute sentiments included also.

I guess my preference is acrylic stamps (based on my buying anyway), but I really love the digital world too.  I hope you will check out this Etsy shop.  Elena is a very talented artists and I'm sure she will have many images you would like!

See you tomorrow!

Color Throwdown #431 - Birthday Wishes

Happy Friday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.  Look at the bright spring colors in the inspiration photo:

When creating my card, I was inspired by a technique from Jennifer McGuire.  She used the Blooms 'n Buds stamp set from Reverse Confetti and so did I.  She stamped and masked her flowers, so I gave it a try.  It took me a few times to get it right.

Jennifer turned her panel into a gate fold card  and it was stunning!  You will probably want to take a look.  Click here for her video.

I didn't make a gate fold card, but went a different direction.  After cutting around the bottom of my stamped images, I popped up the panel with foam tape and then adhered it to my purple dotted background.  I love the subtle dimension of that panel.  I might use die cuts of these flowers and leaves the next time I try this...just to switch things up some more!

You still  have plenty of time to play along!  You can click right here for the link to participate. And be sure to check out what all the designers have made to inspire us!  They are true artists and you'll be glad you dropped by to check out their beautiful creations.

See you tomorrow!

Inspired by All the Little Things #44 - Enjoy the Ride

Hello Thursday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.  The inspiration for my card can be found right here:

I didn't worry about the colors this time, I focused on the theme of the Ferris wheel.  Not everyone likes them - but I sure do!  I struggled a little with the design of the card, but once I flipped it to a landscape card, the balance and the design worked out!

Be sure to check out all the beautiful inspiration for this week.  You'll be glad you did!

I also decided to enter this at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge blog.  The theme this week is Anything Goes.

See you tomorrow.

Tag You're It #65 - Love You

Hello Wednesday Friends!

I thought it would be fun to enter my tag in this week's Tag You're It challenge.  I think tags are so much fun...and this one may end up on a card some day soon.

Here is the graphic for this challenge:

I used the Stylized Autumn set from PaperTrey Ink to stamp and cut out my fox and foliage.  I love this set so much!  I've stamped that fox in so many colors already - I think he is precious.

Have a great day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Just a Note

Happy Tuesday!

One of my favorite techniques is using gold and silver embossing powder together on the same card.  It is so easy to do, but it makes for a real wow factor!

Here is the stamp set I used:

The stamp set is called Framescape-Simply Spring and it was designed by Theresa Momber for Gina K. Designs.  Can you just imagine the possibilities with this set?

Gina has also started carrying metallic card stock. I used the gold today.  It also comes in silver and copper.  All three are gorgeous!

Also, did you notice the gold dots?  They are made with Nuvo Crystal Drops.  The color I used is called Bright Gold.  I thought they were the perfect finish for my card!

Be sure to check out this stamp set and and many more at Gina K. Designs.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Thank You

Hello Monday Friends!

I bought this digital stamp from Power Poppy last fall.  It came with a Thanksgiving sentiment.  But I knew I wanted to use it for a springtime card.

I used Copic markers and Zig clean color markers to color my wreath. I thought I had finished the card, but then decided to add a sweet little bird from MFT Stamps.  And now I really love it!

This card is in the mail already and I hope my friend likes it.  She deserves more than just a thank you card.  She is my hero.

See you tomorrow!

Curtain Call Challenge - Sending Hugs

Happy Sunday!

Here is my card to share over at the Curtain Call Challenge today.  The challenge was to make a card based on this website graphic.

I used the beautiful colors in the graphic, but I also stenciled in a woven background on part of my card.  Ever since I bought the Clarity brushes, stencils are getting some love from me.  I never knew how much I could love stencils!!

This is such a fun challenge and the team members are all so talented!  Be sure to take a look at the beautiful inspiration they share with us.

I am also sharing this at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog.  They are wanting us to use our favorite tool.  That's easy for me!  I love die cutting and I did plenty of it on this card.

Have a great Sunday and I'll see you tomorrow!

Thanks

Happy Saturday!

Here in my part of the world it's a warm and sunny day.  This card seems warm and sunny too.  I love the combination of blue and yellow.  I always thought if I had a "summer home" it would all be done in these colors.  Cue: dream sequence in my mind.  Wait, I digress....

I stamped my images using a new layering stamp set from Gina K. Designs.  It is called Fabulous Flowers and it lives up to its name!  Take a look:

The set is illustrated by the very talented Melanie Muenchinger.  You can see more of her work on her fabulous blog.  She is so clever in her designs and her artwork.

And don't forget about the sale that ends today:

Since the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge this week is Fantastic Florals, I thought I'd enter my card there too.

Have a great day!

Inspired by All the Little Things #43 - Just Smile

Hello Thursday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.  The inspiration for my card can be found right here:

The color combination of black and pink really caught my eye, so I started there, using card stock from Gina K. Designs and patterned paper from Lawn Fawn.

After I stamped my sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps, I added my little Copic colored chef from MFT Stamps to finish my card.

Be sure to check out all the designer inspiration for this week.  You'll be glad you did!

Color Throwdown #430 - You are Wonderful

Hello Wednesday Friends!

Today I am sharing my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge. And here is this week's inspiration photo:

Before I tell you all about my card I must share this:  I was so excited to be the February First
Featured Stamper.  So now I get to be the Guest Star Stamper for this week's challenge!

I've told you before, and I'll tell you again, this is my favorite challenge of all time!

I used the brand new Taylored Expressions Bloomin' Background to make my card.  I stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa and then started coloring with my Copics.  For those little roundish flowers and some of the dots, I used my gold Wink of Stella pen.  It took some time to color the images, but since I was able to make the background using just one stamp, it was probably a little more than an hour, start to finish to make the card.  That's pretty quick for me!

Today is just the first day of the new challenge, so you have plenty of time to play along!  You can click right here for the link to participate. And be sure to check out what all the designers have made to inspire us...plus my card will be there too!

See you tomorrow!

Gina K. Designs – February Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 2

Hello Tuesday Friends!

The Cast and Crew for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to day two of another fun blog hop celebrating the new February 2017 release created by our wonderful team of illustrators.

These stamp sets are so much fun and so very versatile!  You will be able to create amazing projects using each individual set or by combining images and sentiments from multiple sets.

We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs!  Today we are showcasing stamp sets from Beth Silaika and Claire Brennan as well as our new incentive set, Vintage Rose.

Take a look at the Spring Fling stamp set from Beth.  Can you even believe how cute this set is?  I plan to use it for soooo many Easter cards this year!

I stamped and die cut all of my little bunnies and then lined them up for inspection!  I couldn't resist giving each one of them a little gem belly button.  I think what is especially fun about this set is the solid image that can be used to "color in" each image.  Of course you could use your Copics, watercolors or pencils to do lots of detailed coloring too.

Next up is the Springtime Baskets stamp set from Claire.  I can't tell you how much I love these images too.  I will also be using this set for plenty of Easter cards that go out to my family and friends.

I used one of the eggs, the big bow and the tall basket to create my card.  I had to mask some areas a bit to make it work, but it was worth the effort.  Then I used my Silhouette to cut out the image.  I think the oval frame just adds to the elegance of the card.

Last up is the newest incentive stamp set, Vintage Rose. These stamps are just so detailed!  Take a look at what's included:

And here is my card heat embossed with Gina K. Designs Gold Detailed Embossing Powder. It truly is the best on the market.

I hope you will enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20.00 Gina K. Designs gift certificate.  To find out who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

Gina K. Designs – February Inspiration Blog Hop – Day 1

Hello Monday Friends!

The Cast and Crew for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to day one of another fabulous blog hop celebrating the new February 2017 release created by our wonderful team of illustrators.

These stamp sets are so much fun and so very versatile!  You will be able to create amazing projects using each individual set or by combining images and sentiments from multiple sets.

We hope to inspire you with some beautiful card projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs!  Today we are showcasing stamp sets from Melanie Muenchinger and Theresa Momber.

Take a look at the Fabulous Flowers stamp set from MelanieI pretty much could NOT stop using this set.  And I have soooooo many more ideas to try out too.

I used so many images from this set.  Of course I used the vase but then I grabbed six images (plus their fillers) and stamped them together to make the flowers and the very full greenery.  It took a bit of masking, but it was totally worth it!  I also used some Copic markers to added shading to the flowers, leaves and vase.  I added Nuvo drops to the vase to give it just a bit more dimension. And finally I added a twine bow.  I am not a purple girl....but then again...maybe I am!

Next up is the Framescape-Simply Spring stamp set from Theresa.  This set can be used to make stunning cards, masculine or feminine for sure.

I used black for all my image stamping, but then decided to grab a few Copic markers to add some interest to the card.  Then I added the jewels and I LOVE the way it turned out!

Enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win a $20.00 Gina K. Designs gift certificate.  To find out who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop.

Happily Ever After

Happy Saturday!

I haven't made a wedding card in quite a while, so I thought it was about time!

I've had this Simon Says Stamp Churches die set for a while and knew it could be my starting point.  I also had the Book Cover Details stamp set from PaperTrey Ink which I had never used.  So I had a plan!

I cut out the church twice - once from gold mirror paper and once from silver glitter paper.  I love the two metallic tones together.  Then I did my stamping using some gold embossing powder and was nearly done.

I added my panel to a diagonal striped background and then added some Washi tape and heart sequins to finish the look.

Now I just need someone I know to get married!

See you tomorrow.

Be sure to visit again next week because we will be having a two day blog hop featuring all the designers' ideas for this set and four more!  The fun will begin at 8am Monday.

See you tomorrow!  Have a marvelous day.

Throw Kindness Around Like It's Confetti

Happy Thursday!

Who doesn't need a little kindness?  And confetti?

I've had this stamp set by Honey Bee Stamps for a while and for the life of me, I can't figure out why I haven't used it more.  Those sketched hearts just make me smile!

Here is a look at the Beautiful Life stamp set:

I just discovered they have a die set for all of the large words and images in this set.  Oh my, I think I must have the dies too!

Enjoy your day and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown #429 - You Are Fabulous

Happy Wednesday!

Here is my card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge.  I gasped when I saw this inspiration photo.  My home is very neutral - so this just grabbed my attention - in a very bright and lovely way.

The hardest part of making this card was finding this stamp set.  I KNEW I wanted to use it, but it doesn't fit with my regular stamp storage because it is quite a bit bigger.  Over the months this set has resided in various locations in my studio.  And its recent location escaped me.  But I finally found it.  And I'm glad I did because the simplicity of this card just makes me smile.

Today is just the first day of the new challenge, so you have plenty of time to play along!  You can click right here for the link to participate. And be sure to check out what all the designers have made to inspire us!

See you tomorrow!

Inspired by all the Little Things #42 - Happy Valentine's Day

Hello Tuesday Friends!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.  The inspiration for my card can be found right here:

I love using wood grain papers in my designs, so this was the perfect opportunity to grab a sheet and see what I could do.  For my image I decided to use this Puppy Love stamp set from Reverse Confetti and had a blast coloring up that little puppy and her bowl.  I have the matching dies, so that made cutting out my images a snap.

Be sure to check out all the designer inspiration for this week.  You'll be glad you did!

See you tomorrow.

We're All Just Trying to Find Some Color

Happy Monday!

I am using a technique today that is TOTALLY out of my comfort zone.  And guess what?  I love it.

I stamped these line art floral images from the Concord and 9th Wildflower set and then over stamped them with ink splotches from the brand new Altenew A Splash of Color set.  I used Altenew's inks too.  I love that they come in packs of four shades and are perfect for layering.

Anyway, I can't wait to make more cards like this.  And this one is already in the mail!

See you tomorrow!

Lean on Me

Happy Sunday!

We've had some dreary weather the past few days, so I thought I would get out a set of floral stamps and dies to add some bright colors to the day.

I used the Stylized Autumn set from PaperTrey Ink to build my floral bouquet.  I absolutely love everything about this set!  And even though it is a fall set, I think it can be used all year round!

My sentiment is from MFT Stamps and everything else was put together with some scraps from here and there.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Congrats - Happy for You

Hello Saturday Friends!

I have broken out my Mini Minc a few times this week to play with foil.  I am totally in love with the Summer Rainbow foil available at Gina K. Designs.

I used some Foil Mates (also from GKD) for my sentiment and background.  You just put the foil on top of the toner printed design and run it though the Minc - or other laminator.  To make the foiled circle surrounding the sentiment, I die cut it from toner paper and then foiled it.  SO EASY and addicting too!

This is such a fun technique.  I think anyone who gets foiled cards feels extra special...because it becomes their turn to shine!

See you tomorrow!

Curtain Call Challenge - Love and Hugs Coming Your Way

Happy Friday!

Here is my card to share over at the Curtain Call Challenge today.  The challenge was to make a card based on this website graphic.

What I see in this graphic is pink, gold and black.  What could be better?  I used a new stencil from Reverse Confetti to start my background.  I struggle with stencils, but I am pretty happy with this one.  Then I just added touches of gold and black until I was pleased with the layout!

This is such a fun challenge and the team members are all so talented!  Be sure to take a look at the beautiful inspiration they share with us.

I am also sharing this at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog.  The theme is the color of love and they are featuring Reverse Confetti products.

Have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow!
