I Don't Know What I'd Do Without You

Happy Thursday!

Here is another card that I created from disassembling a book I made last year.

The book was designed by the super talented Laina Lamb and each student assembled her own at the MFT Retreat.  I decided to make cards from all the pages so I could share them with others and it's making me just SO happy!

I added some enamel dots, sequins, and the Happy Birthday sentiment to make this card unique.

Have a fantastic Thursday and I'll see you again tomorrow.

You Aren't Just a Star to Me

Hello Tuesday Friends!

Here is another card that I repurposed from a book I made last year.  Now that I have added the happy birthday sentiment, it is ready to go in the mail and bless someone.

That's a win in my book!

I Must be Wonderful to Have a Friend Like You

Hello Monday Friends!

Recently I've been purging supplies and repurposing some old projects.  I took apart a book I made last year and saved all of the stamped pages to use as card fronts.  I added some extras to the card fronts just to change each up a little bit.  The book was just stored away, but the cards can be sent and make someone's day.  So I think it's a win!

I'll be showing you more of these in the next few weeks.  I am enjoying the process!

See you tomorrow.

Inspired by All the Little Things #16 - Everything's Better with You

Happy Sunday!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things. I wish you could see the real shine on this card.  Part is heat embossed in gold and the other part silver - all from Gina K. Designs.  And the vine and the circle are both cut from gold mirror paper.  I tried to capture this, but I don't think I succeeded!

Each week we can work with whatever inspires us from the current inspiration photo.  It could be the subject matter or color, etc. This week I chose the theme of the photo which is that cute bicycle.  My image and sentiment are from Gina K. Designs.  That vine die is too!!

Here is the sweet graphic for this week:

You should play along with the challenge too. You have plenty of time! Go ahead...you know you want to!!

Happy Birthday - You're Still a Spring Chicken

Happy Thursday!

Here is the card I made for my husband's 60th birthday last week.  I'd like to think we are BOTH spring chickens....but I'm not so sure about either of us.

All of the stamps and dies are from MFT Stamps.  They have some pretty cute ones!  I had fun building this little scene. and I just love the sentiment!

Have a terrific day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Sweet on You and Baked with Love

Happy Wednesday!

Today I'm sharing a card and also a tag using the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Baked for You clear stamp set.

For my card I thought it would be fun to feature some of the yummy baked goods and add the sentiment, sweet on you. While I was all sorts of inspired, I decided to make a tag too. I used the sugar canister and the oven mitt along with the baked with love sentiment. I used my Silhouette Cameo to die cut all of the stamped images.

Here is a look at the set so you can see all that is included:

I hope you have a wonderful (and sweet) day.  I'll be back tomorrow so I'll see you then!

Miss You

Happy Tuesday!

I thought I'd share a card using an older die from MFT Stamps.  It may even be retired.

Two things I want to point out:

First is, use your older products!  Your card recipients won't know.  If you still have it and love it, use it.  Otherwise, pass on supplies you no longer love.

Second, don't be afraid of large images or dies.  When you are in need of a quick card, maybe just one large item on your card will do the trick.  When I made this, I thought it was just a bit too plain (for me), so I added the scalloped border and some bling.  Problem solved.  Trust me, this was a quick card and now with just that little bit of detail, I love it.

So now that I'm off my soapbox, I'll just sign off.  See ya tomorrow!

Inspired by all the Little Things - Be Kind

Happy Sunday!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things. This is a bit of style departure for me, but that's the good thing about challenge blogs.

Each week we can work with whatever inspires us from the current inspiration photo.  It could be the subject matter or color, etc. This week I chose the the color scheme and the triangle pattern.  I grabbed some banner dies that I have to make my triangles and then added a stamped and die cut sentiment.  Easy peasy!

Here is the cute graphic for this week:

You should play along with the challenge too. You have plenty of time! Go ahead...you know you want to!!

See you tomorrow.

There is Always a Reason to be Grateful

Happy Saturday!

I really don't have anything to add to this wisdom.

So I'll just tell you that I made the sign from a piece of bead-board paneling, chalk paint and vinyl cut with my Silhouette Cameo.

Other than that, I can tell you this hangs above the opening from my kitchen to my keeping room and I can even see it from my studio.

It makes me happy.  I try to live this.  And that's about it for today!

Inspired by all the Little Things #14 - I Love You, That is All

Happy Thursday!

Here is my card for this week's challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things

Each week we can work with whatever inspires us from the current inspiration photo.  It could be the subject matter or color, etc. This week I chose the theme and color scheme.

Here is the graphic for this week:
I love the light blue sky and the flying theme.

My birdie is from Stromstad Scrapbooking.  She has just a few digital images.  I love the whimsical look of her artwork.  I used Copics to color my image and watercolor for my background.  Didn't know if it would work - but it did!!

You should play along with the challenge too. Go ahead...you know you want to!!

See you tomorrow.

You are my Bucket List

Happy Wednesday!

We are nine days away from our one year house-aversary.  It has been a long year of restoring our 1949 cottage into a livable and lovable space.  Every room was touched - some gutted and reconfigured.  Design choices are hard....so some rooms were done twice. (insert sad face).  Buying a foreclosure in disrepair is daunting for some, but we never blinked.  We knew it was a gem.

We are right at the very end of this redo, so I've been working on some details to finish off our keeping room.  The room used to be a breezeway between the house and garage.  Now it is where we spend our relaxing moments in our comfy chairs.  The room also houses a small round dining table where we have most of our meals as we enjoy our backyard through the French doors.

All this to say....I created this sign last week and now it has a home.  I found the board in the garage and distressed and painted it.  Then I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the sentiment from vinyl.  We might mount the tv below the sign....or not.  Who knows?

Have a wonderful day and I'll be back tomorrow!

Have a Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday!

Have you seen the Cute Chicks stamp set from Simon Says Stamp?  It was released before Easter and has some cute Easter and springtime sentiments, but this is really a year round stamp set!  Take a look:

Nothing too fancy going on for this card - I just created a simple little scene and used Copic markers for coloring.  I added some sequins, washi tape and Wink of Stella to finish off this little chickie.

Have a fantastic day and I'll see you again tomorrow.

Thinking of & Missing You

Hello Monday Friends!

I've been working with some older sets from Simon Says Stamp lately (this one is retired).  I purge my stamps pretty often so that I end up with just sets I really love.  So I guess this one has stood the test of time - probably 2 or more years.

I really had NO plan when I started this card so it just became very fluid.  I added this and that and then took away a bit and before long I had this card.  I really do like the simplicity of it.

Have a terrific day and I'll be back here again tomorrow.

Happy Mother's Day - Take 3

Hello Saturday Friends!

Here is my third Mother's Day card to share with you.  Like I told you yesterday, we have no shortage of moms in this family!

For this card I used the Build-able Bouquet stamp set from My Favorite Things.  I kept this one simple using just the one flower and a few leaves.  The panel is popped up with fun foam and I added some sequins to finish my card.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Happy Mother's Day - Take 2

Happy Friday!

We have plenty of moms in our family because we have 11 grandchildren!  That means I will have Mother's Day cards to share right up through Sunday.  I made one yesterday too.  So there will be four in all.

I selected the Wild Beauty stamp set from Simon Says Stamp again today.  I used it yesterday and just could not put it away.  The sentiment is also from a SSS stamp set, now retired I think.

I offset my stamping just a little, but it would have been just as easy to line up the layers perfectly.  I added some sprigs, sequins and a bow to finish my arrangement.

Have a great Friday and I'll see you again tomorrow!

Color Throwdown #391 - Happy Mother's Day

Hello Thursday Friends!

I'm sharing a Mother's Day card with you today for the current  Color Throwdown challenge.

Here is a look at the colors for this week:

I selected the Wild Beauty stamp set from Simon Says Stamp to start my card.  I was totally inspired by a card on the SSS website.  But it didn't have a watermark, so I don't know who to thank for the inspiration!  The sentiment came from a SSS stamp set also.  It is older and I think retired now.  But you probably have a Mother's Day sentiment in your stash.  Maybe even this one!

You still have plenty of time to join the challenge!   You can click right here for the link to participate. Be sure to take a look at what the designers have created. You will be totally amazed and inspired to create.

See you tomorrow!

Plant Kindness. Gather Love.

Happy Wednesday!

We have been showcasing the Winnie's Garden stamp set over at the Sweet 'n Sassy blog, so I thought I would use some more images to show you how versatile this set is.

I used two of the smallest images - the flower and butterfly - to create a simple and happy card. I popped up the panel using fun foam and adhered a few sequins before adding it to the striped card base.

Here is a look at the stamp set so you can see how many great
images and sentiments are included:

Sending Love

Happy Tuesday!

I just wanted to share one more card from the Sending Love StampTV kit.  I have another tag to share with you too and I will do that soon.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out my stamped image.  I cut out three and stacked them for added dimension.  You can't tell from the picture, but the background (also included in the kit) is covered in silver foil.  The toner printed sheets in the kit are remarkable!

I added my sentiment, some patterned paper and a few sequins to finish my card and I just love how cheerful it is.  And don't forget - Gina K. now has matching envelopes too!

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Inspired by All the Little Things #13 - Thank You So Much My Friend

Happy Sunday!

Here is my card for this week's brand new challenge at Inspired by All the Little Things.  I just discovered this challenge in March, and I am loving it!

Each week we can work with whatever inspires us from the current inspiration photo.  It could be the subject matter or color, etc. This week I chose to use a butterfly on my card.  I added one on the inside too by the way!

Here is the graphic for this week:
Such beautiful butterflies!

For my card I used the butterflies from the Sending Love StampTV kit.  I chose sentiments from the Better with You and Made with Love stamp sets also from Gina K. Designs.  I used Memento markers for all of my coloring.  Even though I have had these pens for a LONG time, this is the first time I actually colored simple line images with them.

You should play along with the challenge too.  There is plenty of time to create a card.  Go ahead...you know you want to!!

See you tomorrow.

Addicted to CAS #87 - Happy Snail Mail

Happy Saturday!

A friend told me about another fun challenge and I just HAD to play along.  The site is Addicted to CAS.  CAS means clean and simple and truly that is my favorite type of card!

This week the "code word" is PLAID, so I got right to work and pulled out some sweet plaid paper from my stash.  That little snail and sentiment are from a brand new Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps set called Regina's Garden.

I wanted some texture on my background, so I embossed it using a stencil.  It gives just the perfect amount of embossing for a clean and simple card.  I built up my focal point and attached it to my card front using some fun foam.

Today is the first day of this challenge, so you have plenty of time to play along too.  Click right here for all the details!

Enjoy your day!  See you tomorrow.

A Little Gift for You

Hello Friday Friends!

Do you like making your own tags for gifts?  Me too!  But I find that right when I NEED a tag, I don't have time to make one.  So I've started squirreling away tags that I can grab as needed.

This one is made from products from the Sending Love StampTV Kit.  I LOVE the sheets that are ready for foil.  I used gold foil on this one. I also adore this flower.  Stamped with a sentiment on a card or die cut like this on my tag - swoon!

The Gina K. Designs website will be up again tomorrow after a week's hiatus, so be sure to check out all the fabulous products she has then.

Have a terrific day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Color Throwdown #390 - Hello Beautiful

Hello Thursday Friends!

I'm sharing this cheerful card for this week's Color Throwdown challenge with you today!

First of all, let me say that this combination kicked my booty!  Yellow and navy?  Oh my.  I had nothing in my creative arsenal to prepare me for this challenge!  But I plunged in anyway!

Here is a look at the colors for this week:

I selected the Hello Beautiful stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and used some of the images to create my background pattern.  I used Gina K. In The Navy ink and it turned out to be a great color.  I used the matching card stock for matting.  Regarding this stamp set - it is a valentine set - but it has so many great icons and sentiments, it is easily a year-round stamp set.

You still have plenty of time to join the challenge!   You can click right here for the link to participate. Be sure to take a look at what the designers have created. You will be totally amazed and inspired to create. I am also linking my card to the Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp which is another terrific weekly challenge.

See you tomorrow!

You Color My World

Hello Wednesday Friends!

I decided to make some note cards using one of the sweetest stamps from the Sending Love StampTV kit.  What I love about this stamp is that it represents the new retail home for Gina K. Designs.

As I type, Gina is getting this location ready for a grand opening.  I wish I could be in Wisconsin to help her!!  Instead I'll just show you how her new store - Village Paper & Ink - will look.

During the move, the website is down (until Saturday), but you can still visit StampTV and enjoy tons of free content.

Make it a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Case This Sketch #169 - Have a Farm-tastic Day

Happy Tuesday!

I was looking around the web for a sketch challenge and I came across Case This Sketch.  I decided to play along using the oh so cute Farm-Tastic stamp set from MFT Stamps.

Here is the sketch:

Starting with a sketch is fun for me.  I rarely do it, so it stretches me a bit.  Play along too.  It's a good one!

See you tomorrow!
