Somebunny Loves You

Happy Tuesday!

I can't get enough of the new MFT Somebunny stamp set (and matching dies of course)!  I thought it would be fun to make a card using lots of kraft card stock.  I even decided to stamp my little bunny on kraft and I love how she turned out.

I knew I needed a little extra color on the card, so I used two rows of green Washi tape and one pink stamped heart to finish off my card.  And right at the end, I decided to add three little black enamel dots to tie in the sentiment I had stamped using black ink.

So remember.....somebunny DOES love you!

See you tomorrow.

Everything is Better When Shared with a Friend

Happy Monday!

I thought I'd make a masculine card for this month's Eyelet Outlet Color Challenge.

Here is our color inspiration:

I die cut my little bucket and then filled it with fish (brads) and then leaned some fishing pole (brads) next to it.  I just love the way it turned out.

I hope you will play along with us this month on the Eyelet Outlet Blog.

See you tomorrow!

Let's Chat Soon

Hello Sunday Friends!

I've got another shaker card for you today using the Ladybug Day image from Whimsie Doodles. I thought these two ladybugs were adorable - perhaps they are on a fun outing together.

As you know, I love making shaker cards.  And I love making the image just the right size for my project each time. The colors were fun to work with and finding just the right sequins was an easy task thanks to Pretty Pink Posh!  It was easy to find the colors that matched my image!

See you tomorrow.  Until then, have a wonderful day!!

Digital Saturday #21

Happy Saturday!

This is a VERY current layout.  It is from this past Tuesday.  We didn't get a ton of snow or ice - but there was enough to cancel school.  So of course Batman (Caleb) and Eskimo Man (Andrew) had to go out and play in it.

Yesterday there was even more snow and now there are even more cute pictures to be made into layouts!  Yippee!

See you tomorrow!

With Deepest Sympathy

Hello Friday Friends!

Sadly, we all need sympathy cards in our stash.

I decided to make a few with gold foil and I love the simplicity of this one.

I added some gold sequins for balance after I placed my die cut "with".  The sequins really finished off the card.

I guess if we have to send sympathy cards, at least they can be lovely.  Right?

See you tomorrow.

My creation is made with a brand new set from MFT Stamps.  It is the most adorable set filled with bunnies, springtime icons and cute sayings.  It is called Somebunny.  You will want it once you take a look!

I can't wait to see what everyone did with this challenge.  And you should play along this too.  There is plenty of time and you can click right here for the link.

See you tomorrow.

LRW Challenge #278 - Bloom & Be Happy

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for Challenge #278 at Little Red Wagon.

I love this week's challenge.  Heather is calling it Beachy Keen and we are to make warm summery projects.  I am all for warm and summery right now!

I used three different stamp sets from PaperTrey Ink.  I thought a colander full of flowers would qualify as warm and summery!

This is a really fun challenge so be sure to check out what all the girlfriends have created this week.  The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.  I hope you'll play along with us this week!

The color palette that inspired me is from PaperTrey Ink's monthly blog hop and here is a picture:

I decided it would be fun to play along with the hop today.   If you want to play too, just follow this link.

See you tomorrow!

You're in my Prayers

Happy Tuesday!

If you couldn't tell already...I'm sure you can figure out today that I am in love with using foil on my cards.

The gold foil paper is from Teresa Collins.  I have been hoarding it because I like it so much - so I can just use little bits of it at a time.  The gold foiled heart and sentiment is a digital image that I foiled myself.  I added the sequin and gold circle sticker to finish it off.

I'll probably take a tiny break before I use foil again...but not too long.  I'm sort of addicted!!

See you tomorrow.

You're My Heart

Happy Monday!

Today is a super special Monday for me because it's my birthday.  Yes - #60 and I know it will be another great year.

So this card is for all of you on my birthday - because indeed, you are my heart.  I am grateful to each of you who reads my blog, follows me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.  I count each of you as dear.

So here's to you - ALL OF YOU!

Hoping Your Day is as Wonderful as You

Happy Sunday!

I have been experimenting with "foiling" for a few days and I have to say THIS is one of my favorite gold foil images so far.

It is a pretty easy process and I am having a ball playing with lots of foil papers right now.  If you want to see a great video on how to do it, Jennifer McGuire has one and you can see it by clicking right here.  The video is called,  "Five Ways to Add Gold Foil".  I used the last method she showed and it really is easy!

I had the honor of giving this card to a dear friend who just celebrated a BIG birthday.  I love making cards when I know for sure who the recipient will be because I am always careful to put some extra love into those cards

I'll see you tomorrow - so until then, have a great day!

You are my Anchor

Hello Saturday Friends!

I've got another fun shaker card for you today using the Ahoy Lizzy image from Whimsie Doodles.  I've been a bit tired of the cold weather, so coloring this little girl just made me feel a little warmer and closer to summer.  We could all use a pinch of summer right now!

As you know, I love making shaker cards.  And making them from digital images is so terrific because you can print a digital image most any size!!  The colors were so wonderful to work with and finding just the right sequins was a fun task thanks to Pretty Pink Posh!  Those little silver stars were the perfect find.

I'll be back tomorrow.  Until then, have a wonderful day!!

Joyful Wishes - CSAYL Challenge #40

Happy Friday!

It's time again to interrupt February for a Christmas card.  At Christmas Stampin' All Year Long we deliver a twice monthly challenge to you and if you play along, you will have plenty of cards already made when December rolls around.

My image is called Holly Berries and is from our sponsor this week - Di's Digi Stamps

Our challenge this time is to use embossing powder.  I embossed strips of double sided tape using a very shiny silver embossing powder. I just love how it worked!  Embossing is so much fun - kind like magic, so get to creating and link up your creation at the Christmas Stampin' All Year Long blog.

You have until midnight March 3rd to link up.  And you could win a $12.00 voucher from our sponsor!!  Have fun and I'll see you over there.

Until tomorrow!

Color Throwdown #330 - Each New Day Brings Hope

Hello Thursday Friends!

I'm sharing my Color Throwdown card for the week today.  Don't we all want some bright spring colors right now?  This palette really gives us what we need - two shades of green, orange and white - just perfect!

I have been experimenting with foil lately and that is how my shiny little center word cluster was born.  It inspired the rest of the card which came together in a snap!

I can't wait to see what everyone did with this challenge.  And you should play along this too.  There is plenty of time and you can click right here for the link.

See you tomorrow.

LRW Challenge #277 - Sending Warm Fuzzies

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for Challenge #277 at Little Red Wagon.

This week's challenge is one that MIGHT make you dizzy.  It's called ROUND AND ROUND WE GO.  Yes - you must not have any angles on any of your layers.  So think circles and ovals and such.

I decided to go full circle (get it?) on my card.  I die cut two white circles and used the hinge method to make a top folding card.  Then I just started layering die cut circles until I was pleased with the general layout.  I curved my sentiment too just to see if I could do it.  I colored and die cut my little puppy and then used dimensional tape to lift him up just a bit.  An enamel heart and one gem...and I was done.

See you tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Pinwheels

Hello Tuesday Friends!

You now know that I love making pinwheels almost as much as shaker cards!  I just can't stop.

I made this arrangement for a sweet friend who just had a super big birthday....and she loved them.  So that just encourages me to make more!!

Off to make another arrangement (or two, or three).

See you tomorrow!

Happy Birthday

Happy Monday!

Aren't Mondays great?  Every Monday is a chance to begin again!

So today I have a little goodie bag to share with you.  The bag itself is made with a die from Lawn Fawn.  I didn't know how much I needed this die until I'd made a few of these!

I pieced together a birthday cake complete with a silver tray and then added these great candle brads from Eyelet Outlet to complete my little scene.  I rarely "freehand" anything....so this was a fun project.

Have a great Monday and I'll see you back here tomorrow.

Whimsie Doodles February Challenge - For the Girls

Hello Sunday Friends!

Guess what's happening today!!  Yup, it's time for a brand new challenge at Whimsie Doodles!

This month's challenge theme is FOR THE GIRLS.  And what cuter girl is there than one who scrapbooks?

I used the Crafty Lizzie digital stamp as the focal point of my card.  I had the best time coloring her!  I placed her behind a dimensional framed panel and then added my sentiment on a die cut banner.

Now it's YOUR turn to get creative.  Click here for all the info on submitting your beautiful creation for this month's challenge.  You have until March 13th to submit....but why not get started today?

See all of the Doodlelicious Diva's projects on the Whimsie Doodle blog today.  You will be inspired for sure!!

I'll be back tomorrow and I hope I'll see you then.

Bee Mine

Happy Saturday!

And happy Valentine's Day.  Here in Texas the weather is beautiful and warm.....just for a few days though.  Soon we are supposed to have snow!!

I tried to capture a picture of my card in action, but I wasn't able too.  This little bee is on an Action Wobble, so at the flick of a finger, he looks like he is ready to take off.  Super fun!  I made one of these for all of my kids and grandkids.  I rarely make duplicates, so it was a fun project!

My images are from the Bee Mine set at Paper Smooches and are just so adorable I can't stand it!  And the way the set is packaged, the images aren't just for Valentine's Day!  One thing I want to point out is that I stamped and colored the images all together on white card stock.  Then I die cut the bee out of the middle.  I used the same die to cut some dark grey paper and then I slipped it into the negative space and secured it with tape on the back.  So when the bee is wobbling, the grey looks like his shadow.  Just a fun technique tip for you!

I'll see you tomorrow!  I can't wait.  Have a great day!

You Have My Heart

Hello Friday Friends!

It's almost Valentine's Day, so here is my next to last valentine to share with you.  But telling someone you love them has no real holiday time limit....so I'll be making more I Love You cards for sure.

This card is sort of an optical illusion.  There are four hearts on the INSIDE of this card.  The bottom heart layer is the pink patterned paper, the next is green shimmer paper, then a pink and white striped heart and finally a darker pink enamel heart.

The front of the card is die cut with a larger heart and then I added a green shimmer frame to that cut out.  It looks pretty cool in person!

I stamped my sentiment onto a die cut banner and then added a little bling.

Enjoy your day and I'll be back tomorrow with one final valentine for you.

Color Throwdown #329 - Live Your Life in Color

Hello Thursday Friends!

I'm sharing my Color Throwdown card for the week today. I love this week's color palette although at first, I was stumped by it.

I have no idea how I came up with the idea to tape strips of card stock together and then die cut them into a little city....but I had a blast doing it and I love the way it turned out!  I cut two different skylines and added dimensional tape to the front one.

I can't wait to see what everyone did with this challenge.  And you should play along this too.  There is plenty of time and you can click right here for the link.

See you tomorrow.

LRW Challenge #276 - Be Mine

Hello Again!

It's time for Challenge #276 at Little Red Wagon.

Do you love Washi tape?  Well, I sure do and I have the stash to prove it!  So this week, let's all walk through a Winter Washi Land together using Washi tape as we go!  Yup - that's the challenge - use Washi tape on your project.

For my card I covered a large area of white card stock with rows of coordinating Washi tape.  Then I took the piece and nested four heart dies together and ran them through my die cutting machine.  The first one is inlaid into the background (also die cut) and then the next two are popped up with black fun foam (also die cut).  They stack beautifully!  The final black heart is cut from the background paper which is black flock.  I added a few finishing touches and I am in love with this card!

My card is also on the Little Red Wagon blog and you can see it by clicking right here. Then be sure to check out what all the girlfriends have created for this challenge. The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your Washi tape project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.  I hope you'll play along with us this week!

Until tomorrow...

I Heart You

Happy Wednesday!

I thought I'd share another valentine with you today.

This sweet little image is called I Heart You. After you click on the link, scroll down just a little and you will find this darling girl.

I loved coloring this image and then framing it behind a dimensional panel.  I added a felt heart and a few sequins to finish off my card.  I can't wait to put this into the mailbox.  I know just who will be getting this valentine!

Hang tight.  I'll be back in just a little bit with my second post of the day.

Until then.....

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello Tuesday Friends!

Have you seen the new brads over at Eyelet Outlet?  You must check them out!

I love these little train brads.  They come in lots of bright primary colors, but I wanted to use all red for my valentine.  I coupled them together with some black bling and then added the same bling to the scallops toward the top of my tag.

To finish off the tag I added some glittery heart brads - also from Eyelet Outlet.  With each release, they come out with the most ingenious brads!!

I am off to make some more valentine projects for you.  I'll see you tomorrow with TWO posts.

Mint to be Together

Happy Monday!

I have to tell you that MINT has never been on my radar until now.  I don't know why and all of a sudden, I don't care why....because I am in love with it.

This little elephant stamp and die set from Clearly Besotted just screamed MINT to me and then I found this great sentiment from Reverse Confetti.  Not to mention that I own an Avery Elle mint pigment ink pad.

I wanted to add some pink....so out came the heart brad and some fun bling from Eyelet Outlet.

I hope you like my experiment into mint.  You will be seeing more!

Until tomorrow...

I Love You

Hello Sunday Friends!

I'm sharing my Color Throwdown card for the week today. I've had so many assignments this week that this is the first day I've had open to share it.  But the deadline isn't until Tuesday, so you can still play along too.  Here is the color palette for this week's challenge:

I made my card mostly with stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti. I am loving the coordinating flower stamps and dies.  I had the most fun layering everything together!  I know gold was not part of the color scheme, but I just couldn't help it!

If you want to play along in the next few days, click right here for the link.

See you tomorrow.

Digital Saturday #20

Happy Saturday!

I was going to save this one for Valentine's Day itself, but then I realized I wanted to send you all a valentine myself next Saturday.  So next week instead of Digital Saturday, I'll be making a card for you.

This layout truly makes me happy.  Caleb and Luke are "best ol' buddy boys" - a self appointed title that we all just adore. They went to preschool together, they are in the same school now and they go to church together too.  I hope they will always be friends!

See you tomorrow!

Happy Thursday!

It's time for February's new release at Whimsie Doodles.  You will love all the new digis available today in the store.  The one I chose for my valentine shaker card is called Bacon.  Isn't it just adorable?  And I love the sentiment that is included - "Don't go BACON my heart".

LRW Challenge #275 - I Love You

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for Challenge #275 at Little Red Wagon.

Carolyn has chosen the theme of this week's challenge.  She has decided to play peek-a-boo with us.  That's right - windows in our cards!  Well, that was easy for me.  I love making shaker cards, so this time I decided to make little heart windows.  It was so much fun to see just how many sequins would fit in the small windows.  They really do shake - just a little, but they shake!

You can see Carolyn's card on the Little Red Wagon blog by clicking right here. Then be sure to check out what all the girlfriends have created for this challenge. The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.  It's peek-a-boo time....I hope you'll play along with us this week!

That's it for today.  See you tomorrow!

Sending Loads of Love...Part 2

Happy Tuesday!

Last week I made a little gift bag and promised you a coordinating card.  If you missed the gift bag post, you can see it right here.

I designed the card just the way I did the bag - with a little sentiment on top of my small banner.  This time I placed it on a square tag, added some Washi tape and twine and then foam mounted it onto a fun diagonal striped card base.

I love the black and white with the bright yellow.

I hope you have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Valentine Pinwheels

Hello Monday Friends!!

First let me say that I resisted buying the WRMK Pinwheel Punch Board as long as I could.  And now I question why. What was I waiting for?

This is the most innovative tool!  And addicting too!  I have a drawer full of pinwheels waiting to be placed in bottles and vases.

I do lots of hospital visits and I like to bring a little something when I go. But flowers die......  Pinwheels however DO NOT!  And they always bring a smile when delivered!

Click right here to take a look at this great new tool.

If you want to see a video of it in action click right here. There are lots of YouTube videos sharing different techniques too.  Enjoy!

See you tomorrow!

I Think You're Delightful

Happy Sunday!

Here is a fun Valentine for you. If you don't know about Whimsie Doodles digis yet, you are missing out!

This cutie patootie image is from the Valentine Punnies Collection. After you click on the link, scroll down toward toward the middle of the page to find this great digi (sentiment included of course!)

Did you know that you don't always have to print your digis in black?  I colored this image once with a black outline and decided to see how it would look if I made the outline a pinkish red. Oh my goodness....I fell in love with it. The color is perfect for this card!!  And then I found some card stock that matched it. Score!  I added lots of layers, some thread and some sequins to finish up my card.

I love when a plan comes together. Don't you?

Have a wonderful day!!

Susie
