A True Friend

Happy Thursday!

It's been a while since I shared a shaker card with you. I just love this one because of the sentiment.

The die I used is from PaperTrey Ink. I have fallen for all their newest dies!

Enjoy your day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Let's Chill

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for The Color Throwdown challenge for the week, so I have a card to share with you using the new color palette.  Let me say, I would never have thought to use these colors together.  Purple totally stays off my radar!  But it is a fun combo and I'm glad I used it.

My stamp set and dies are from Reverse Confetti. They come up with some of the cutest ideas!  I knew I NEEDED these clever dies and stamps the moment I saw them!!

Here is the color inspiration for the week. And remember, you don't have to have the exact colors.  They want you to use the closest match you have.  I never have the exact colors, but I always play along...you should too!

See you tomorrow!

Take One Step at a Time

Happy Monday!

It's time for The Color Throwdown challenge for the week, and I just love participating! I've been at the beach for a week, so right here at the finish line for this week's challenge, I finally have a card!

My stamp set and dies are from The Stamps of Life.  This is a set released a few months ago, but today is the first time I've used it.  I just love those stamped and die cut flip flops!

Here is the color inspiration for the week. And remember, you don't have to have the exact colors.  They want you to use the closest match you have.

See you tomorrow!

Joyful Saturday!

SMILE

Happy Thursday!

Do you love red, white and blue?  So do I and I wasn't ready to stop using it just because the Fourth of July celebrations were over!

All of the die cuts on my card (except one) are from MFT Stamps.  The one exception is that little circle with the cut out dots - it's from Little B.

I had big fun making this card.  I love all the layers.  It's the kind of card that takes a while, but it's worth it.

I thought it fit perfectly for The Cutting Edge Challenge this week. The banner and the inlaid chevrons fit the bill to a T.  This is my first time doing their challenge...but it won't be the last for sure!

See you tomorrow.  Have a great day!

You Have a Fan

Hello Monday!

Today's card makes me happy - I just love all the pink and black!

What threw me over the "I love this card" edge was offsetting my diecuts with another diecut, this time in black. I've never done that before and now I wonder why.  I just love the look of the shadow!!

Oh - and I love the little fan brad from Eyelet Outlet.  Oh yeah!

So have a lovely day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Rainbow Thanks

Happy Saturday!

In my constant reading of blogs, I've discovered a rainbow trend.  Lots of the ones I've seen have been created with inks and paints...but you know me.  Clean hands = happy card maker.

So I made my rainbow by adhering colored card stock triangles to a black circle.  That rainbow circle went behind my white card card stock that had a smaller circle cut into it.  Then I layered on another twice die cut white circle as a frame...and then two more circles in the middle of my rainbow. I used the Nesting Circle dies from Little B to construct this.  They are unique ones that not only cut, but also cut out little tiny circles too.  Check them out right here.

I can't remember where the THANKS die came from....I'm amassing lots of word dies these days. But I know the blue Washi tape banner is from MFT Stamps and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp .

I'd been neglecting my homemade enamel dots lately...but knew I needed them to finish my card.  The colors were perfect!

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back tomorrow and I hope I'll see you then.

You Are My Sunshine

Happy Friday!

First let me say that the entire time I was making this card, I was thinking, "I don't make cards with these kinds of crazy patterns."  I totally convinced myself that the entire card was a mistake.

Then I set it aside....and promptly fell in love with it the moment I took a second look.

Yup....I love all the craziness that is going on in this one small card.  Too much?  Yup - I think so too.  BUT I LOVE IT!

So there you are.  Some crazy patterns and a whole lot of happy!

See you tomorrow.

Miss You

Happy Thursday!

I just love Make It Monday over at PaperTrey Ink.  I always try to play along right away.

But this week, I wasn't able to do that.  I had some other design work that had to be done first.

This week the video was about pop up die cuts.  Can you see how the wings of the butterfly on the bottom are popped up?  Well, the center of the butterfly is not cut at all - thus the term pop up die cutting.

It was a bit challenging...but I think I'll try it again with another die and see what happens then.  It's really fun to do, but takes practice, I think.  Be sure to watch the video to see the technique in action.

So have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow.

HB2U

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for The Color Throwdown challenge for the week, and I just love participating! I like that they give a little inspiration sneak peek on Facebook each Tuesday, so I can usually get a card made and ready for the next day when the challenge goes live.

I've been wanting to try out the new MFT Stripes Cover Up die and it worked perfectly for my design! I added a sentiment panel with some die cut letters/numbers and my card was nearly complete.  I stamped a little tied bow and added a flower and some gems and called it done. Pretty quick on this little birthday card today!

Here is the color inspiration for the week.  Be sure to play along too! And remember, you don't have to have the exact colors.  They want you to use the closest match you have.  You can see my blue is a bit more navy - but that's ok. It's all good!

See you tomorrow!

Welcome to the World Little Angel

Happy Tuesday!

I am still on my shaker card streak...and today I have a baby card to share.

PaperTrey Ink makes this great phrase die and I just couldn't wait to use it.

I added plenty of sequins to my shaker.  The soft colors just make me so happy.  I am going to do a baby boy one pretty soon and I'll be sure to share that one with you too.

See you tomorrow!!

Big hugs,

Susie

I Love Working With You

Happy Monday!

Eyelet Outlet does a monthly sketch and I wanted to do something with the current sketch.   If I could use this sketch for every card I make for a while, I think I'd be happy! You have until July 27th to enter the challenge too.

I used some of the new Eyelet Outlet Washi tape and some of their enamel arrows too.  They were just perfect finishing touches!

I hope you like today's bright and cheerful card. I'll see you right back here tomorrow?

May Today Be Sweet

Happy Saturday!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday yesterday and (no matter what you did), I hope you are feeling blessed.

When I saw the PaperTrey Ink Bowl of Sunshine stamp set and dies, I knew I'd be ordering them.  I can't wait to ink up all of them and make some more cards.  I silver heat embossed the colander and in real life, it looks so shiny.  I stamped the lemons in yellow and my accent was ready to go.

I actually didn't use any patterned paper on this card.  Washi tape did the trick for the trim and the die cut circle.  I love that stuff!

Have a fun day and I'll see you right back here tomorrow for another new card.

Happy 4th

Happy Independence Day!

I love my country even if we have our share of problems.  Who doesn't?

I am just so proud to be from the USA - the best country in the world.

Just for fun today I decided to enter my card in the Wonderful Word Challenge over at Moxie Fab World.  You can play along too!  Just use a word die - mine is from Teresa Collins and is actually attached to a little frame (underneath the striped frame).

Have a wonderful holiday and be safe!

Waving Hello

Happy Thursday!

I have stopped denying it now.  I have a sequin shaker card problem.

But they are just so much fun to make!  I see a shaker card in nearly every die I own now.

What's a girl to do?

Well, this time I used all MFT Stamps products and made yet another shaker card.

I'm addicted.  I'm OK with it.

See you tomorrow - for another shaker card!

Happy Birthday

Happy Wednesday!

I needed a birthday card for a special friend and when I saw The Color Throwdown challenge for this week, I knew immediately what I would do.  I didn't have the exact colors shown in the challenge photo, but they are so awesome at the site - they say, "just get as close as possible".

It was all a bit of trial and error on this shaker card, but by some miracle, there are no earlier versions of this in my trash can.  It just kept coming together.  That rarely happens to me!

So all the products except one are from MFT Stamps.  The only exception is that dotted circle which is a die from Little B.  I didn't know how much I needed that die set.  Oh my!!

Off in the mail my card has gone now and I hope my friend will like it.

See you tomorrow!

You & Me

Happy Tuesday and Happy July!

I have a thing about tags and that's all there is too it.  Now add an element that is a shaker...oh my.  Now I'm in tag/shaker heaven!

I made this little shaker heart when I was at this year's MFT Stamps retreat.  It was supposed to go on a card....but when I got home, I made some other plans for it.

I love red and aqua together and the more I fiddled with this, the more I liked it.  I even got a bit old school when I pulled out my Dymo label maker for the YOU and ME.  I love a bit of the unexpected.

I am happy to report that my new tag is now hanging on my little tag rack along with lots of other tag friends.

Be sure to have a great day and I'll see you right here tomorrow.

Your Hard Work

Happy Monday!

I thought I'd make a card using the cute little nurse brad from Eyelet Outlet and also show you that they now carry enamel dots too.  LOTS OF THEM!

About a month ago, I took a little spill and had to be taken to the hospital.  Not a good day!  But what WAS good was being treated by kind and compassionate nurses and doctors.

So here is my card to let them know that indeed, their hard work did not go unnoticed.

A big thanks to all who are kind to their patients in a hospital setting!

See you tomorrow.

And Then What

Happy Sunday, Friends!

It's time for this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge and today we have a fun theme challenge for you. We are celebrating CELEBRATIONS.  On the inside of my card is a huge congratulations stamped sentiment.  I wanted to complete the very incomplete thought on the front of my card.

You can see our yummy inspiration photo right here:

We are sponsored this week by My Creative Time. This wonderful online store offers the cutest stamps and dies.  I used their And Then Some stamp and die set to make my card front.  They were so kind to send it to me and I know I'll be using it over and over - especially the ampersand die.  I love it!  I was actually able to use it as a shaker and you KNOW that makes me happy!

What will you come up to share with us this week?  Be sure to make a plan to play along with us.  You can click here for the link.

Happy Saturday!

I'm sure you've seen this new die set from MFT Stamps already, but I just couldn't help showing you my version.  The set is called Joy Ride. Isn't that clever?

I added some hearts and now I think it looks like a pick up truck with a bed full of hearts.  I LOVE this!!

I plan to use this again really soon in a pink and black theme.  I already have a plan!

See you tomorrow.

Hugs

Happy Thursday!

I thought I'd join in the fun over at My Favorite Things today.  Every Wednesday they release a fun new sketch.  So I went right to work on what I wanted to make

So here is what I designed based on Sketch MFTWSC182. I had already colored and pieced my little Pure Innocence gal, so she became the inspiration for my card.

The only tricky part was the banner, but it wasn't as hard as I thought it might be.  The rest was easy - I just followed the sketch!  All of my products are from MFT Stamps which of course is my favorite company!

And did you notice that I used some Washi tape as an accent and also to make the top layer of my flower?  Oh yeah - I still have plenty though!!

So you have all week to join in too.  You can click right here for the link and here is the sketch for you to use. And did I mention they do a random selection for prizes?  Oh yes they do!

Have a fun day and I'll see you tomorrow for some digital layout fun.

This month's PTI challenge was really a plethora of challenges. Nichole gave us lots of choices.  The one I went with was a sketch challenge using a partial pie chart shape.  I would never have thought of doing this, but I must say, I love the outcome!

Don't forget, you can play along too.  Just create your project and link it up right here.

Thanks again for stopping by.

I'll be back tomorrow with another project to share with you.

See you then.

Love You

Happy  Wednesday!

It's time for this week's Color Throwdown  and I must say, I have SOOO enjoyed being a guest designer for the month of June.  Not sure who is up next, but I'll be playing right along each week!

I die cut the My Favorite Things Peek-a-Boo Heart and backed it with some pink paper.  Then I added the twine and buttons.  This card was easy to finish off with the LOVE stamp (from MFT Stamps) and the YOU diecut from Simon Says Stamp.  I added just a few sequins for balance.

Be sure to play along with this week's colors.  It would make me so happy to see your cards in our link up on the Color Throwdown site. Here is our combo for the week:

And don't forget to take a look at what all the extremely talented design team members have for you this week!

Always Let Your Light Shine

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you are having a shiny and bright week so far.

This card started and ended about three times before I liked it.  I will say from the very beginning, I loved the yellow grid background from My Favorite Things.  I also loved that the SHINE was actually a shaker filled with sequins

I just had "Let Your Light Shine" (stamps and dies from MFT Stamps) on it but it wasn't enough.  Although, how can it not be enough when it's a shaker card?????

Then I added the sun and the cloud.  But it still looked unbalanced.  Next came the Washi tape.  Getting closer.

Then I remembered the ALWAYS die from Simon Says Stamp.  Yup.  That's what it needed.

Whew!  It took it while, but I got there.

I hope you have a great day.  I'll see you right back here tomorrow.

Susie
