Sending Loads of Love

Happy Tuesday!

I guess I just can't help using some funky colors for valentines right now!  But when I saw these adorable truck brads from Eyelet Outlet, my mind just immediately went to bright yellow paper.

I also made a coordinating card....and I'll show you that very soon.

I cut this treat bag with a die from Reverse Confetti and then added my tag, sentiment, and brads.  So easy - and now it is ready for a gift card for a really cute six year old I know.

I hope you have a creative day.  I'll see you tomorrow with another fun project.

Owl Always Love You

Happy Monday!

I hope your weekend was absolutely wonderful.  I know mine was!  I got a little bit of work done, but mostly I just enjoyed time with my friends and family.  I really am blessed!

Today's card focuses on some fun brads from Eyelet Outlet.  I didn't have a sentiment stamp for this, so I just printed out some digital paper and added the sentiment that way.  Easy peasy!!

I am having so much fun making valentine cards this year!  And I am especially enjoying using some non traditional colors.  I am sure I will get around to red and pink before Valentine's Day actually arrives...but for today I am enjoying a little bit of green!

See you tomorrow!

XOXOXO

Hello Sunday Friends!

Just a quick post to share another valentine made with mostly MFT Stamps products.  The patterned paper is from an old stack and the bling is from Eyelet Outlet.

The design of the card is very simple - but I think it really packs a punch because of all the layers.

Are you sending valentines this year?  I know I am!

See you tomorrow.

Digital Saturday #18

Happy Saturday!

It's COLD here in Texas right now, so I thought I'd offer some relief by sharing this springtime layout from 2014.  I am sure the time will zoom by and we will be celebrating bluebonnet season again very soon.  But until then, I'll just have to refer back to this layout.

Enjoy your Saturday!  I'll see you tomorrow.

I Love You

It's Friday!

I hope your week has been superb and that your upcoming weekend will be even better!

I love making holiday cards in unexpected colors.  And I think this shade of blue is really fun for a valentine. This is a super simple card, but that gold arrow makes it fancy.  Don't you think?

The arrow is from a Spellbinders set called Shoot and everything else is from MFT Stamps.

I love to make valentines and I already know who will be receiving this one!

See you tomorrow.

Color Throwdown #326 - I Love You Always & Forever

Happy Thursday!

I'm sharing my Color Throwdown card for the week today.  I think you will really like the current inspiration color palette.  I know I do.  And it was perfect for my valentine card.

I made my card with all new dies from MFT Stamps.  I am just so inspired by this month's release!  It was a super fun card to put together.

I made a little grid on my computer and filled each tiny section with color and then printed it to go behind my banner with the die cut hearts.  Because I was making multiples of this card, having that colored grid made the process simple.

It's early in the week for this challenge, so be sure to play along too.  You have plenty of time.  Click right here for the link to play along.

See you tomorrow.

LRW Challenge #273 - Shhhhh

Hello Again!!

I am back again because it's time for Challenge #273 at Little Red Wagon.

Jan R is in charge of this week's challenge.  She wants us to Shhhhh.  Well, not you exactly. She wants our cards to have no words at all on them.  Hmmmm.  What a fun challenge!

My image is from Meljen's Designs, colored with Copic markers.  I added a few die cuts to complete my project.  Although I didn't use any words, I think you can tell that this is a little valentine for one of my sweet grandsons.

You can see Jan's card on the Little Red Wagon blog by clicking right here. Then be sure to check out what all the girlfriends have created for this challenge. The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.  Be sure to shhhhh.

That's it for today.  I hope you'll be back again tomorrow.

How Ewe Doin'?

Happy Wednesday!

I have two posts for you today.  I wanted to share with you my card that is on the Whimsie Doodles blog today.

This image makes me giggle every time I see it.  It is called How Ewe Doin'.  Doesn't that remind you of Joey from Friends?  Oooooops, am I dating myself here?  After you click on the link, scroll down toward to bottom of the page to find this great digi.

Because gold is so in style right now, I decided to add some to my card.  The gold strip toward to bottom is Washi tape.  The picture does not do the shine justice!  I also added the die cut frame and the enamel hearts.  Swoon!

Be sure to check out the Whimsie Doodles blog today and every day because it is always packed with inspiration.

I'll be back in a little bit with my second post for the day.  See you then.

Thanks - Take 2

Hello Tuesday Friends!

Today's post will be short and sweet.

This is the other card I did using the same format as last Friday.  I just chose more vibrant colors and used a different THANKS die.

It's nice to have a quick layout that you can go back to when you are short on time.  I am sure this layout would work for plenty of sentiments.  And of course, you don't need a die cut word - you could just stamp a sentiment!

That's it for today.  I'll be back tomorrow with TWO posts.

See you then.

My Love - You Keep Me Anchored

Happy Monday!

So today I thought I'd make a Valentine card to share with you.  Oh - you can also see this card (and some other great Valentine cards too) on the Eyelet Outlet blog today.  And by the way, Eyelet Outlet has a ton of new products available right now in the online store.

Do you see that little silver anchor?  Well, that was my inspiration for this entire card.  It is actually a brad from Eyelet Outlet.  It has a tiny hole in the top and I was able to tie that shimmery thread right through it.

The rest just came together in a snap.  Here are the supplies I used:

 Brads & Bling; Eyelet Outlet
Frame: Heidi Swapp
Stamp: Denami Designs
Stickers: Authentique
Papers: Bo Bunny, MFT Stamps
Thread: Stampin' Up

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Get Well Soon

Hello Sunday Friends!

I hope you are having a great day.

This card is already in its recipient's hands.  I have a sweet friend in the hospital and I thought she needed a bright (BRIGHT) card to let her know I am thinking about her when I am not there with her.

All of the stamped images are from Whimsical Wishes at MFT Stamps.  There are tons of ways to use this stamp set, so you will be seeing some more designs from me soon.  I might even break out the watercolors the next time I use this set.  What?  Did I say that?

To finish my card I added some sequins and enamel dots.  I love the added pop of black!

I'll be back tomorrow!  See you then.

Color Throwdown #325 - Thanks

Happy Friday!

I'm sharing my Color Throwdown card for the week today.  You are going to swoon when you see this week's inspiration photo.  The colors are vintage, beautiful and inspiring!

My card this week is super simple - just a very graphic design plus the sentiment.  I had so much fun creating this one, I made another one with different colors and a different sentiment.  And I will share it with you next week.

It's early in the week for this challenge, so be sure to play along too.  You have plenty of time.  Click right here for the link to play along.

I used the Valentine Messages stamp set to make my tag embellishments.  You can see this set and so many more wonderful Valentine digi stamps if you click right here.

These little images were really fun to color and adding them to tags was a cinch.  Easy Peasy!

Now it's YOUR turn to get creative.  Click here for all the info on submitting your beautiful creation for this month's challenge.  You have until February 13th to submit....but why not get started today?

LRW Challenge #272 - Find Your Happy Every Day

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for Challenge #272 at Little Red Wagon.

Joanne is in charge of this week's challenge.  The weather is frosty for sure where where she lives...so she wants us all to make snow themed projects.  What a great idea!!

I have used so many stamps and dies on this card that I am not sure I can name them all.  The tree, birds, snowflake, and snow slope are from Simon Says Stamp.  The snowman and the die cut panels are from MFT Stamps.  Oh - and the embossed snow is made with a stamp from MFT Stamps too.  The little hearts are from the Teresa Collins collection at Joann Fabrics.  The papers are from MFT Stamps as well.  I THINK that covers it!

You can see Joanne's card on the Little Red Wagon blog by clicking right here.  Then be sure to check out what all the girlfriends have created for this challenge. The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Once you have been totally inspired, be sure to create your snow themed project and link it up on the Little Red Wagon blog.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

#Best Day Ever - Part 2

Hello Tuesday Friends!

Last week I showed you this same card, but done in red, black and white.  Here is the second one I did in more lively colors.  I can't decide which one I like better!

And this time I popped up that "like" thumb.  I just love the dimension it gives the card!

Two cards at once sure is easy...but that is rare for me.  It seems only during holidays do I mass produce cards.  Do you usually make one of a kind cards or do you mass produce?  Always curious what my friends do.

See you tomorrow!

Happy Birthday

Happy Monday!

Today's card is (almost) a one layer card.  I rarely do cards this simple, but I had this idea in my head and I just wanted to give it a try.

Mama Elephant makes this Happy Everything stamp set.  It has this one huge word and then lots of sentiments to go with it.  I got it in November, but have just now gotten to use it.  I have about a million more ideas for that huge happy!!

The little red flower image is from an older stamp set from PaperTrey Ink. It is called Flower Fusion #3 Mini Stamp Set

Everything in red is heat embossed with clear embossing powder over red pigment ink.  Then I just kept adding little embellishments until I was happy with the balance.

Have a super HAPPY day and I'll see you tomorrow.

You Color My World

Happy Sunday!

I am on deck over at the Whimsie Doodles blog today.  Be sure to check out all the beautiful digis - especially the new releases!  If you are new to digi stamps, there are some freebies for you to try out.  But be warned.  You WILL be hooked!

I LOVED coloring Copic Abby.  I think you will too because you could make those markers into any brand you like!  She is on the WHAT'S NEW PAGE.  Just scroll down a little past the middle of the page to find her.

I couldn't resist making Copic Abby into a shaker card because I just knew I could use lots of colored sequins to go with my "You Color My World" theme.  Super fun!

If you love to color, or know friends who do, you will need this digi.  What friend wouldn't love getting a card like this from you in her mailbox?

Have a wonderful day!  See you tomorrow.

Have a Cool Day

Hi Friday Friends!

I was playing with my Silhouette Cameo the other day and just starting cutting some random files.  I set them all aside knowing I'd soon find a use for some of them.

These trees are cut files from Kerri Bradford.  There are tons more, but I liked the combo of these two together.

I wanted to do a really simple card that would showcase the trees.  I diecut a snowdrift and a snowflake and then just layered my elements onto some gold glitter paper.  I popped the entire panel up on some foam for dimension.

That was pretty much the whole card.  Once I added the sentiment, I was done!

I am a fan of making simple cards once in a while.  I hope you approve!

See you tomorrow.

#Best Day Ever

Happy Thursday!

I'm sharing my Color Throwdown card for the week today.  I love to create cards based on their weekly color palette.  Take a look at this week's challenge photo.

I love this color combo because there are just so many directions one could follow!  I chose a rather linear design for my card.  My husband needed two thank you cards made and I got right to work on them.

I really like the way this card turned out using this week's colors.  Maybe next week I'll show you the second card I made with completely different color choices.

It's early in the week for this challenge, so be sure to play along too.  You have plenty of time.  Click right here for the link to play along.

See you tomorrow.

LRW Challenge #271 - Celebrate

Happy Wednesday!

Today is the first challenge of the new year for Little Red Wagon.

Heather is in charge of this week's challenge and she thinks we should SPARKLE AND SHINE.  And I agree!!

For my challenge card I started with green and magenta glitter papers and added lots of sparkle from there.  Enamel dots, gems and sequins make this card super sparkly and fun.

You can see Heather's card on the Little Red Wagon blog by clicking right here.  Then be sure to check out what all the girlfriends have created for this challenge. The links are to the right (and then scroll down a little) of this post.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!

I'll Follow You Anytime Friend

Hello Tuesday Friends!

Here's a little card idea for you when you just need to send a fun card to a friend.  The die that cut the word FRIEND from the card front is from MFT Stamps.  Last month it was a free with purchase gift.  But tonight you can buy it if you don't already own it.  The new MFT Stamps release is tonight and I can hardly wait.  There are tons of Valentine stamps and dies that I just have to have!

The stamps (and tweet die) that I used are from Lawn Fawn.  I thought they were the perfect complement to my FRIEND die cut front.  Of course the sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh and the gems are from Eyelet Outlet.

I just wanted to point out that I very rarely use colored card stock to make my entire card.  But the newest card stock from MFT Stamps is thicker and it is perfect for card bases.  Just FYI.

I'll be right back here tomorrow with a fun new card for you and also a link to a great challenge blog.

See you then!

When you are checking out the newest images, be sure to take a peek at what all the Doodlelicious Divas have created too!  Such a talented group of ladies!  If you love digis and you love to color,  you will certainly be inspired when you take a look.

Make Each Day a Masterpiece

Happy Sunday!!

Today's card is made with stamps from MFT Stamps, my absolute favorite stamp company EVER.  The set I used is called Whimsical Wishes.  I just now am finding time to play with it and I am in L-O-V-E with this set.

That scribbley little flower just plain makes me happy!  There are plenty of sentiments to go on top of it and then some additional sentiments like the Happy Birthday one I used.

I added some enamel dots and gems to the card to finish it.  Off in the mail it is going to a brand new friend who is in an assisted living and celebrating her 103rd birthday.  Now I think THAT is pretty awesome!!!!

See you tomorrow.

Digital Saturday #15

Hello Saturday Friends!

So here we are at Week #15 of my digital series.  I am really enjoying sharing some of my digital pages with you.

This layout is one I did for a printed calendar Christmas gift.  I think this was probably one of the spring months on the calendar.  We love watching Caleb play baseball and I take tons of photos.  Catching the picture of his baby brother cheering for him was a total bonus shot and perfect for this layout.

Have a wonderful day as the new year rolls forward.  Not sure what 2015 will bring all of us....but I am excited to find out!

See you tomorrow.

God Loves All His Creations

Hello Friday Friends,

Just a quick post for you.

Today's card was a request from a friend.  She needed to send a card to one of her friends whose dog has cancer.

So I poked around and found some verses in Psalm 145 to go with my image.

I do hope this little card helped her friend!  It's good to be a blessing to others.

See you tomorrow!

I'm Here for You

Happy Tuesday!

I thought I'd take a small break for holiday cards to share this one with you.

I just love this image so I thought I'd make her into a shaker card. I am holding onto this one instead of selling it because I am certain someone I know will need this card.

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow with my final card for 2014.

Celebrate 2015

Happy Monday!

I am over at the Eyelet Outlet blog today sharing some New Years cards.  This one is just about to hit the mailbox and be on its way to my grandsons' house.  I just love the playful little sock monkeys.  Some are pretty well behaved.  Others?  Not so much!

Be sure to check out ALL the goodness at Eyelet Outlet.  It is an awesome site for finding just the perfect embellishment for your cards and scrapbook pages.

See you tomorrow!

Happy Winter Birthday

Hi Sunday Friends!

I am so excited to share this little card with you today.

I know the colors are sort of strange for December, but I just couldn't help it.  I saw these orange dots and just had to make a card with this paper.

Except for the sentiment (typed on my computer) everything on this card is from MFT Stamps.  It's  my favorite company and this might just be my favorite stamp set!

See you tomorrow.  Stay warm!!

Susie
